Chapter Sixteen

Taeil

I look at Mark with wide eyes, confusion and anxiety filling up my mind. I look up to see the girl that attacked me getting up, a frown on her forehead. My head snaps back to Mark when I hear him gasp.

"S-surprise?" A crook smile is all I can give him and I look at him with a guilty gaze, "You weren't supposed to know."

"Supposed to know what? That you were kidnapping someone?" Mark scoffs at the guy, wondering how this even happened. Taeil frowns at him.

"What are you talking about?, I didn't kidnap anyone." The oldest frown deepens when Mark lets out a loud scoff, glaring at him like he just insulted him.

"Let's go back to the guys." The girl that was quiet until now looks at Mark with a pointed look and Mark almost looses his patience.

"We still didn't find Gra-" A sudden beep from Mark's pocket stops the arguing, he looks down, frowning at the phone before taking it out. It didn't take much time before Mark was sprinting out of the scene, leaving the two older's confused. Taeil's gaze casts on Scarlet.

"And you are?" Scarlet quirks a brow at the confused guy, "Let's go now." And she starts walking just like that leaving Taeil with the only choice to follow her.

Scarlet

I look forward, not really knowing where I was walking to, my feet just started walking to the site of loud voices and concerned tones. My mind is pretty fucked up, after looking at the 'kidnapper's eyes I didn't know what to think, I'm almost sure it wasn't him. The look he gave was of a confused kid, not knowing why Mark was screaming at him. His eyes displayed confusion and sadness, there was no guilt. My thoughts wander to back there.

Flashback

I start running, making a short cut and chasing the guy with my eyes, looking where he is going next and I take the other way, trying to close him up. After turning around I find the guy calmly walking and run up to him, quickly grabbing him by the collar and pushing him down.

"Don't you dare move?" My voice sounded rough, still a little tired from all the chasing, but I still kept a straight face one, my chest slowly rising and falling while trying to get air. I look at the boy and him staring at me, fearful eyes and his lips quivering. I was about to interrogate him but a voice then interrupted me.

"Taeil."

Present

Fricking fudgedy fuck, my mind was a big mess right now. The expression the boy,  Taeil, had showed that he didn't know what was going on. I look back to see Taeil frowning, looking deep in thought. I sigh when we reach the boys and instant screaming was heard.

"TAEIL?!" A crazy Ten was seen, an infuriated look on his face, looking like he was about to explode because of what Mark told him.

"Stop." I stand in front of Ten, covering Taeil from the crazy boy, my mind still confused but I knew something was wrong.

"Scarlet, move. We're only going to ask him questions." I look at Taeyong who was now giving me a pointed look that said to move away from the situation. With a huff, I moved away.

"What are you doing here?" It came as a whisper but I was able to hear what Ten asked, a broken look on his face. My phone beeped, showing a message has arrived.

"I c-came h-here to surprise you, I promise!" Taeil looked like he was in the verge of tears, his hands shaking an looking at all the guys to somewhat show them he had nothing to do with what had happened. I take a last look at him before taking my phone out of my right pocket, an uneasy feeling creeping up my spine.
