Prologue - You're a myth

It all started a normal day after school Marcel (my best friend) was beside me as always, he never leaves my side when we go to public places, I don't know why though

We were walking in the subway when I saw him: a tall man with dark hair, beard and a grumbly expression, I didn't know him but I got the feeling he was somehow connected to me, he started walking towards me

Marcel tensed when the man started walking towards us

"Mayela i've been wating for you" he said with a deep treathening voice

"Excuse me sir...do I know you?" I asked politely

"Mayela, I am your father" he said it as if it was nothing, like it is something you say to everybody 'hey guess what? I am your father'

"is this a prank or something?" I asked annoyed

Marcel started panicking "Maye don't s--"

I cut him off "so...who are you and why do you suddenly come with and tell me that you are my father? Who do you think you are? Darth Vader?" I asked the man

"You have attitude, i can see, just like me...i like it" the man smirked

"what's your name? how do I know you're actually my father?, I don't even know him" i said starting to get mad

"I'm Zeus" He stated that's when things started to get wrong

I hesitated "Like the sky god or that?" I asked

"As the 'sky god' actually, I am your father and the sky god" He stated, I didn't know it then, but that simple phrase would change my whole life

"No, you can't be...he's a myth, you can't be the real Zeus" I said nervously

"Calm down girl, I will have to take you to camp soon" He said turning to look at a sweaty Marcel

"Lord Zeus" he bowed, I frowned

"so today I get notified that Zeus is my father so that makes me a what,demigod? Whatever, you show up after 16 years to tell me that i am your daughter and that you will take me to camp, what the heck are you talking about?!" I said

"I can't tell you any more, that will only make your essence stronger, and I have to go, I will see you soon" and just like that, he vanished

"My essence, what? What was that?!" I yell at Marcel

"you have to go home...NOW!" He grabbed my hand and then I blacked out
