Chapter 3 - Weapons


"ok" we walked towards cabin nine

Annabeth opened the door and introduced me to some of the campers of the Hephaestus Cabin It was a nice cabin...not so clean but not so messy either.

The head-counselor was Jake Mason, but it seemed to me that he didn't want to be a leader

"Jake, do you have extra weapons for Maye to have?" Annabeth asked

"yes, here they are" he showed us a vault full of weapons I grabbed a big sword it almost brougth me down with its weight

"no" we all said

"Mmm...how about this?" Jake said he showed me a little knife

"No... i would probablyscratch myself with that..." I looked at the vault trying to decide which weapon will be good for me

"i'm not really good with swords i don't think this will fit me..." i said nervously

"don't worry maybe we can go to the Apollo cabin and get you a bow" Annabeth suggested

"sounds good" i said

"thanks for the help, see you later" Annabeth said to Jake wo nodded in response I just waved and we walked to what i think it was the Apollo cabin.

Annabeth knocked and a guy who seemed like eighteen opened the door and said "Hey, Annabeth" then he saw me and said "hey, I'm Will" he offered his hand

"Maye" we shook hands

"Come in" he said we stepped inside

"Will, i was wondering if you have an extra bow for Maye" Annabeth asked

"Sure, come here" he lead us to the corner of the cabin and showed us the bows there were like a million

"Wow! so many" I picked a random bow just to try if it would fit me but the one i grabbed seemed to be for a really big person "oops" i looked around to see another then I saw a silver bow...perfect I thought

I grabbed it and tried it, it fit me perfectly "i love it" I said nodding

"it suits you" Annabeth commented

"Nice, you can take it" Will said

"Thanks" I said

"I want to show you someone" Annabeth pulled me out of the cabin

"Bye!" I shouted to Will as he closed the door smirking

we walked toward cabin three where a tall boy with dark hair and green eyes was smiling and waving at Annabeth, Annabeth's cheeks were flushed...maybe he was her boyfriend...?

We got there and Annabeth jumped to his arms and kissed him, when the finally finnished I stood there awkwardly

"Hey, I'm Percy" he offered his hand

"Maye" I said we shake hands I felt electricity down my spine something told me we wouldn't get along

"So...poseidon's kid right?" i asked looking at the cabin

"umm...yes" He smiled uncertain

"Cool!, You can breath underwater right?" I said

"Yup" Percy said we stood there a while in awkward silence when i asked

"So, where do I get my quiver and arrows?" I asked Annabeth smiled

"Depends, maybe you can even make them" My expression must've been funny because they laughed, then a horn blew in the distance "Dinner time, let's go!" Annabeth pulled me to the dinner place "You can eat with my cabin if you want" she said

"ok" i smiled after dinner we went to the campfire and then to the cabins

Since my father 'hadn't claimed me yet' I had to sleep in Athena's cabin which was great for me but I don't know I don't like lying...or just not completing the truth
