Marcus Butler Imagine-

Well, today is the day. Today is the day you tell your best friend, and famous YouTuber, Marcus Butler that you love him.

You've spent so long watching him date girl after girl, feeling like your heart is breaking. You've tried countless times to move on, but you can't which just further cements the thought that Marcus is it for you. You've spent so many nights in his house, you actually have a room there. But, Marcus is painfully oblivious, and you can't live without telling him how you feel any longer.

Because, tomorrow, you're going to California to spend some time with your Internet friend, and another YouTuber, Ryan Higa of the channel nigahiga. He's been pestering you for weeks to come visit him, and you've finally given in.

You know exactly how to tell Marcus too. And you'll do it, so that you'll be out of the country by the time he finds out. You're going to make a video, and open it on his computer, so that when he sits down to edit, he'll see it.

It's a foolproof plan. And that's why you're sitting here, in your room in Marcus' house, in front of a camera. You press the record button, and wave.

"Hey Marcus. I'll bet you're probably wondering why there's a video of me up on your computer, but just bear with me. I have something to tell you and I'm too much of a coward to tell you in person. So here goes.

I love you Marcus. I'm in love with you. I have been since I was thirteen and old enough to realize what real love felt like. I've tried so hard to move on, but I can't. The only thing I haven't tried is distancing myself, because not only are you the love of my life, you're also my best friend and I can't live without you. It hurts to be away from you. So I'm most likely on my way to California by the time you watch this. I love you. I love you so much. I'll only be gone for a month or so, but I'll miss you. I know you don't have the same feelings for me, I've seen you with all your girlfriends. It hurt seeing you with them. I just had to tell you. I couldn't stand holding my feelings in. God I love you so much Marcus. So much. Take care, I'll see you in a few weeks. I love you."

You shut the camera off, and take it to Marcus' computer. You plug the small Flip camera into the computer, and load the video on to Marcus' computer. Once it's up, you leave it and go to pack your bags and go to the airport. Ryan is meeting you when you step off the plane to America. Hopefully this distance thing will work. As you drive, you feel the heartache of being away from Marcus setting in, but you ignore as best you can.

You're determined to have a good time in California. With Ryan and his friends. When you arrive at the airport, you check in and get ready to board your flight. As you enter the plane and sit down, you wonder if Marcus has seen the video yet. But then you remind yourself that he was at Jack and Finn's house doing a collab, and he wasn't going to be home until tomorrow. Deciding that you aren’t going to think about Marcus, you lean back in your seat on the plane, and close your eyes. It’s a long flight from England to California.

MARCUS POV

I’m driving home from the twins house, eager to see my best friend. I want to tell her something important, something I should have told her when we were teenagers.

When I reach my house, I open the door. She’s almost always here, so I run all over checking rooms for her. She isn’t there. Maybe she’s at home. I sit down at my computer, and move the mouse around to wake it up. It’s then that I see the small post-it note on the bottom corner of the screen. It’s in her hand-writing.

‘Hey Marcus.

Just watch the video that’s on the screen okay?

:)’

Curious to see what she meant, I click the play button, and her beautiful face is on the screen.

She starts talking.

She loves me? She really loves me? She feels the same as me?

Oh God wait. She said she’s on her way to California. No. No. I have to get to her. Were could she be staying?

Hey! I have a notification from nigahiga. She put it there. New video? My New Best Friend from England?

I hit the play button. Oh my God she’s with Ryan Higa. I have to go find her.

And I have a plan.

YOUR POV

Well the distancing isn’t working. Fantastic. You have this dull ache in my chest. Making the video with Ryan was fun, but you miss Marcus.

Hey someones at the door.

You run down the stairs at Ryan’s to the door, and when you open it, what you see makes you stop in your tracks.

“Marcus?” you whisper. And it is him. He’s standing there, watching you. His familiar quiff is a bit flattened. You’re surprised to see him, but what defintely surprises you is what he does next. He kisses you.

It’s like an explosion of light a color, and feeling. Suddenly it’s only you and him, and his soft, but slightly chapped lips. And it feels good.

When he breaks away for air, you look up at him, a bit startled.

“I love you.” he says, quietly. You just wrap your arms around him, and you don’t care that you’re standing in the doorway of your friend, in California, or that its starting to rain, You just care that your best friend loves you, and that you love him. And that you finally kissed him.

You don’t know what the future will bring, but you know you love him, and he loves you, and you’ll face it together.
