It's been 6 months since me and Leah been dating. Leah has been nothing but loyal and loving, but the time has finally come close to graduation. I haven't quite told Leah about graduation because i'm afraid she'll be sad and think i'll break up with her. Trust me the last thing i wanna do is break up with her but, i have to find a way to tell her about graduation.

We had a bit of a break before first period, we didn't have to be to class until 11. So, we decided to sit inside Waffle House for breakfast rather than eat McDonald's every morning. "Leah, we gotta talk." I said, taking a sip of my orange juice. She grabbed spoon full of eggs and bacon, "Okay, what's up?" I looked down at my chocolate chip waffle then back up at Leah. "You know graduation is coming up, right?" I started the conversation. "Yes, i'm aware. Why you ask?" She said, looking me in my eyes. "Well, i do graduation in like 4 weeks. You'll still be in school when i start college." I said, toying around with my hands trying not to make eye contact with. Leah then gazed at me before actually letting it sink in. "Oh.. yeah.. I thought we were going to be together until i finish college and we move in together that's the plan, right?" Leah said, taking another bite of eggs. "Yes Leah, that was the plan. I mean but, you know how girls are at school. They've been waiting for me to leave ever since i got with you. You don't think it'll be a problem with them girls when i leave?" I asked, hoping not to hear a wrong answer. She finished chewing her food before taking my hand in hers, "I knew you'd ask that question," Before i could say anything, Leah got up from the table with my hand still in hers.

Leah got down on one knee with her other hand in what seemed like to me, her back pocket. I felt as though my heart was racing and pounding. Is she proposing to me?  "Will you marry me, Mia?" She smiled then pulling out a silver diamond ring. I felt hot tears run down my face and my mouth swell up with joyfulness. The waiter and the customers in the restaurant began to clap. All i could do for a response was nod my head and cry. Leah slid the ring on my finger and picked me up in her arms, kissing my neck. I was engaged! Not to anyone but, to Leah! "I know we're young but, we don't need to rush to get married. I engaged you today to let everyone know that as a reminder you're my soon -to-be wife. I'm so deeply in love with you, Mia. You just don't know." Leah smiled, still kissing my face. "I love you, Leah. I'm forever yours, i promise to be the best." I finally said from under my mumbles of excitement. "You're already the best." Leah said, kissing me one last time before paying for our meal.

We headed off to school and immediately my friends noticed the ring on my finger. "OMG! Mia, say she didn't?! She did?!" Cathy screamed. "Yes! Yes!" I said, jumping up and down. Cathy hugged me and twirled me around. "Let me see, Mrs. Future Laysuave." She said, looking at the ring. Cathy was the greatest best friend I've had. "You know people are gonna get jealous when they see that ring?" Cathy said, looking the ring again. "Oh well." I said, smiling.
