Honestly, I wasn't really quite ready or prepared for this day to come. My four years of high school has finally came to an end..this was going to be a brand new beginning to me with another fresh start in a different environment.

"It's your big day! You excited to graduate?" My mom said, steaming my graduation gown. "I'm not sure." I said, truthfully. I sat on the bed twirling my ring around while Cathy was curling my hair. "Did you tell Leah?" Cathy asked as she wrapped my hair around the flat irons. "I tried to reach her to remind her but, she hasn't been picking up or returning my phone calls." Cathy shook her head, "Maybe she's in class. I'm sure she'll call you before you hit the stage." I didn't want to have a worried look on my face but i couldn't help but show it.

I took my car and drove up to the college campus the graduation was taking place. "It's 2:30 and there's still no answer from her." I said, tearing up. "No no no, don't cry. She'll come." Cathy wiped my face and grabbed our caps. On our way to the campus, the parking lot was full of cars and kids in gowns. I sighed and tried to keep a positive state of mind. We waited outside in the sun until it was time for us to walk. "Okay, now everyone grab the people you are walking with! We are now heading inside!" Yelled one of the teachers. I grabbed Cathy and connected our hands together to walk; we were 5 people behind before walking in.

I could hear the loud cheers of the crowd and the announcer calling out name for people to walk. Cathy Johnston and Mia Johnson! I looked at Cathy who smiled and nodded her head as we walked in holding each others hands. The rows were filled of family member, friends, and even extended family; I could see my mom and sister cheering but no Leah. I slightly frowned as we took our seat next to each other and I just held onto Cathy's hand.

The principle was saying a few words then some teachers decided to share some memories. "But now, we have a special guest who you all know as a famous social media favorite." the principle had introduced. "Oh my gosh, Mia look who it is." Cathy said nudging me. I looked up to see, Leah in her button-down Hawaiian shirt, khaki pants, and her white Tom's. "Hey guys, you all know me as LaySuave but today I'm Leah. I wanted to say something to a special girl who has my heart." Leah paused into the microphone. "Is Mia in the audience? Mia Johnson?" Cathy pushed my ass to stand up as I stood up, Leah was making her way to me. My heart started to race and it felt like I was going to faint. Leah grabbed my hand and pulled me out onto the stage then turned to look me in the eyes.

"Mia, you have been my heart and my joy. When you came to this school, you instantly came my friend and you helped my out through everything. I knew you would work hard for this day to come, even though you are graduating today. I will not fade from your mind nor your side, I will wait for you any day and will continue to love you." Leah began to tear up, "I don't want you to forget about me when you graduate..I don't want to fade from your memory or come second place to anyone. I really want to say, I'm so proud of you and i knew you could do it." Leah hugged me as I busted into tears. An Awe from the crowd made me cry even more and Leah kissed my forehead.

After her announcement, they began calling out names; I walked up to grab my diploma and shook the hands of my teacher, Leah and Cathy waited on me so we could join the rest outside. When everyone got their diplomas, we all threw our caps into the air yelling 2015! To New Beginnings...
