Truth:
Dear all people,
Guess what? I'm Mexican and WE don't all wear sombreros & eat tacos all day and everyday. We eat a variety of things such as, KFC, Chinese, seafood, etc., whatever (:especially ice-cream;)!
Not all Mexicans actually like tacos! We aren't alcoholics who get drunk and wasted at party's. Yeah sure we do at times, but who doesn't from time to time?
Stereotypes suggest that we wear sombreros all the time! No, wrong! I wear SnapBacks too! A lot of my family members wear them! Like any normal person would.
Worst of all who says all Hispanics, Latinos, Mexicans are immigrants?!?! I'm certainly not! I was born in the USA, Alamance County. We're not all immigrants, we do not all wear sombreros and eat tacos while getting wasted!
We are like any normal teen and adult, person in general. We wear SnapBacks, eat pizza, and go to parties. We are smart people too, we have many ancestors who came from all around the world. So cut the bull*~•< on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Those comic strip things can sometimes be offensive. Telling us we do this and that. Well, how would other people know? Each Hispanic, Latino, Mexican, etc. family is Unique... I mean sure, yeah some Mexican, Hispanic, Dominican, etc. families do all of these things, but that doesn't mean you have to point it out.
Sorry if you think I'm being too over-dramatic or something, I just think stuff like that are annoying. I hate when people assume things... ^-^ Oh, well. Life is life. Vive la Raza!!
