"Lover is a powerful weapon. Never underestimate it." ~unknown
Third person's POV
Sam heard the heart shattering gun shot, and fell to his knees. He heard neither the screaming in the background, or Dean sliding next to him and wrapping his arms around the younger. The screaming was coming from his voice, but he didn't care. Sam Winchester's whole world fell apart, and there was nothing he could do about.
How could he put her into this curse!? He knew that almost every girlfriend he's had, died at the hands of a monster. Maybe Sam thought that Bucky could be different, and she wouldn't have the same fate as the rest of his previous girlfriends.
"Tell your little angel friends, that their little weapon is gone. Oh and Sammy, did you really think you could protect her?" Crowley spoke, with a venom like tongue.
"I will not rest, until I find some way to kill you permanently Crowley!" Dean angrily growled into the phone.
"Good luck with that squirrel. Ta ta for now. Oh and I'll send dear little Hyland to Bobby. Cold and dead." With that, the phone clicked, and silence was heard from both ends.
"Dean, I killed her." The younger brother whispered.
"Sammy, you didn't kill her!" Before continuing, Dean took a deep breath. "It's not your fault. Long before you came into the picture, Crowley wanted to kill Buck. It was only a matter of time, and we couldn't save her. I miss her just as much as you. We're going to take this one step at a time baby brother."
After a few minutes of hugging one another, the phone rang. Both brothers knew who was calling, and they were prepared for the consequences. Sam took the phone from Deans hand, and flipped it open. For a moment, all was quiet, until you heard Charlie let out a sob in the background.
"We're on our way Bobby." Sammy whispered.
Bobby never said anything, but you could hear sniffles coming from him. The brothers stood up, and prepared for the five minute drive back to Bobby's house. Both walked at a slow walking pace, and never said a word. It seemed rude to both if they did. Instead they thought about the times with the young soldier. The good, the bad, and the times she saved the life of others and even the Winchester's.
The impala pulled into the dusty driveway of the salvage yard, and both brothers got out of the car. Even from outside, you could hear the heart shattering sobs coming from Charlie. Sam looked at his older brother, with his famous puppy dog eyes. Dean knew instantly that Sam felt destroyed, so he threw his arm around the younger one, and led them both into the house. Before both feet got in the door, Charlie threw herself at them. Crying into Dean's chest, but not caring if they judged her or not. Dean wrapped both arms around her tightly, and buried his face in her hair. Wanting to mask the tears, so he could be the strong one. That everyone needed at that moment.
"I'm so sorry!" Charlie wailed.
"Shhhh, Charlie. It's okay, I'm right here. Take deep breaths sweetie. None of this was your fault. It wasn't anyone's fault." Dean whispered, his voice cracking ever so slightly at the end.
"I thought she couldn't die?" Bobby wondered to himself mostly. He sat down right in front of the couch, holding his niece's hand. Just waiting for her to wake up. Even though he knew it was impossible.
"Crowley had a serum." Castiel suddenly appeared, with Ezekiel by his side.
"What kind of serum?" Charlie asked, wiping under her eyes and nose.
"A serum that turned her back into a normal human, instead of the Winter soldier. We all know that Hyland couldn't be killed, so Crowley created a serum that would turn her back." Ezekiel explained.
