Amanda walked into the precinct, she was late again, she knew way, Nick knew why but no one else did.

"Hey sorry I'm late" Amanda said

"It's ok" fin nodded Amanda gave Nick a smirk and he did the same as she sat down in her chair and got to work

"Amanda where did you get the flowers?" Liv asked

"She got a secret admirer" fin laughed

Amanda laughed, she looked up a Nick who smirked, she looked back down and sighed and stared at the flowers, and read the card in her head over and over again.

Nick on the other hand couldn't stop thinking about Amanda, he wanted to be with her, but Amanda kept pushing him away, whenever they would get close to becoming something they would get into a fight, or Amanda just pushed him away, she was afraid of hurting him since she was younger everyone gave up on her and left her life, she doesn't want the same with Nick.

After a long day of work, Amanda got a text from Nick "Meet a duffy's after work?" Amanda rolled her eyes, and sighed but she agreed to go with him anyway, no matter how much she tried to get away somehow Nick made her go back to him.

Amanda started packing up her stuff to leave, she was nervous to meet Nick, what if they got into another fight? She didn't want to hurt him, she wanted to be with him, as much as he wanted to be with her, but Amanda was afraid that Nick would leave her after all he does have two kids.

She walked into the bar and sat down next to Nick "hey" Nick smiled

"Hey" She whispered "I'll have what he's having"

"I'm glad you agreed to meet me" Amanda could feel him breathing down her neck, she didn't want to look up into his eyes she couldn't, she would feel guilt rush through her body.

"Nick, we can't be together"

She finally looked up, Nick looked into her icy blue eyes, his smile faded "Why not Amanda?"

"Nick, we aren't meant to be together, with work, you have two kids with Maria and Cynthia I don't want to see you get hurt"

Nick touched Amanda hands and held onto it "Manda, I don't care about the rules at work, I want to be with you with all my heart, Zara and Gil love you already, I need you in my life Manda you gotta understand that you gotta let people in. I know with your past you're scared that I will leave you but I won't Please just give me a chance"

Amanda was looking down again, playing with her straw with her drink, Nick lifted up her chin so that they were inches apart, he leaned in and kissed her passionately and Amanda kissed back and let him "Fine, I'll give you a chance" Amanda laughed

Nick smiled and pulled her into a hug "Come on let's get outta here"

Once they got to Nick's apartment they broke out in a makeout session, Nick nipped at Amanda's neck, while Amanda wrapped her legs around Nick's waist, she pulled away from the kiss and got down "Amanda what are you doing?"

"If you wanna do this you gotta catch me first" She laughed running from Nick

Nick smirked and ran after her, listening to Amanda giggle. Once Nick finally caught up to her he wrapped his arms around her waist and spun her around while she laughed "Got ya"
