Dinner was amazing, I had no idea it was going to be this good. Anne finished the rest of the salad for me, thank goodness. The whole time we just talked and laughed, it was a nice change from my usual dinner. My parents weren't cooks, the only home cooked meals I got were the ones I made. Or sometimes my grandma would come over and cook for me, but only on special occasions.

"So Hailey, I hear you are in a band?" Anne asked snapping me out of my thoughts. "Um, yes I am." I said before taking another bite. "She is the lead singer! Her voice is so amazing it can't even be described!" Harry said, reaching over and squeezing my thigh. I was now blushing so hard you could probably see the redness of my face from the moon.

"That is amazing! I always hoped our Haz would find someone that could sing!" Harry's dad smiled. Of course none of this was helping the color of my face.

Anne and Harry's dad took the dishes to the kitchen. I used the time to check my phone. 14 missed phone calls and 37 text messages from Katie. "Harry I will be right back Katie really needs me." I said before making my way to Harry's room to call her back.

The phone rang twice, "Hello? Hailey I need you to come pick me up!" She said sounding scared. "Katie what's wrong?!" "Just come pick me up please! I am in the park at our bench." Katie was crying now, I had to go help her.

"Harry, I hate to eat and run but Katie needs me. And you drove me here." I explained. "Let me tell my parents, go get in the car." He said. I turned on my heels, grabbed my purse and headed out to the car.

-------

We pulled up to the parking lot and I jumped out of my car. I don't like to run usually but my best friend needed me. I sprinted across the playground and half way around the big pond until I came across the bench.

Katie was sitting there rocking herself back and forth, crying. "Oh Katie what's wrong?" I asked wrapping my arms around her. "I-I got i-in a f-fight with my p-parents. They kicked me out. I have no where to go! I don't know what to do!" I held her tight as she cried.

This wasn't the first time Katie and her parents had gotten into a fight. But this was the first time it has ever gotten to the point of kicking her out.

"You can come stay with me. You know I have a guest bedroom, or if you want my bed is big enough for two people. You can always come to me." I stroked her hair softly as she clung to me.

After she calmed down we walked back to Harry's car. He must have decided to stay behind because when we got there he was still in the car. I sat with Katie in the back seat and held her the whole way back to my house.

After taking her inside and getting her to bed I sat down and talked to Harry. "Thank you for driving me to pick her up!" I was so great full to have a boyfriend like Harry. "And I'm sorry that it had to cut our dinner somewhat short. I didn't even get to say goodbye to your parents." I said laying my head on his chest.

I could hear his heart beating fast as he stroked my hair. "They understand. You have a life too, and this was important. I will explain what happened when I get home." He said.

"I love you!" I looked up into his eyes

"I love you Hailey!" He said caressing my cheek and leaning in to kiss me.

*Harry's POV*

As I drove home I couldn't stop thinking about Hailey. She was such a good person there is no way people could dislike her. But that's the thing, there are people that hate her. Maybe they are jealous but still that gives them no reason to drag her down.

I pulled into the drive way and parked the car. I texted Hailey goodnight and told her I loved her before walking inside.

"Harry, you home?" My mum called.

I walked into the dining room and sat with my parents.

"Hailey says she is sorry that she had to eat and run, and that she wasn't able to say goodbye." I say.

"That's okay, we understand. What happened with her friend? Is she alright?" My mum asked.

"Well her and her parents got into a fight and they kicked her out, but she is staying with Hailey tonight so she will be okay." I explained.

My mom nodded her head. "Hailey was a very nice girl, a little clumsy, but very nice." She laughed. It was true, Hailey wasn't the most coordinated person. But I loved her anyways.

After we calmed down a little my dad looked at me seriously. "She is welcome here anytime." I nodded my head and we all decided it was time for bed.

*Hailey's POV*

I was almost asleep when my phone vibrated on the nightstand.

'Hello beautiful, I just wanted to tell you that my parents really like you (and your clumsiness). They also said you were welcome here anytime :) I love you!'

'Haha that's good! I was kinda nervous. Anyways I can't wait until next time! I love you too!'

----------------

Ugghhh Mondays, I am pretty sure no one likes them. And if they do they probably worship the devil because Mondays are evil!

As I finished getting ready Katie walked into my room. "Good morning, how did you sleep?" She asked. I slept great, knowing that Harry's parents liked me. "I slept okay, you?"

"Ehh I couldn't fall asleep so I'm really tired but I will be okay." She smiled.

I knew that she had calmed down from yesterday and I was hoping her parents have too. I guess we will see.
