In the beginning of TLM, Ford's mind is visited by Dorito Demon (Bill). When Bill leaves, pictures momentarily flash on the screen. One of them is Ford's 6-fingered hand. At the last picture, Ford wakes up in his room. When he readjusts his glasses, he says, "I have to warm them." 'Them' is most likely the Pines family.
After that, he looks at his hand and says, "He's coming."
Was there any significance when Bill showed his hand and then look at his hand after he woke up? Maybe Bill had something to do with Ford's genetic weirdness. Or Ford's hand is the reason why he made contact with Bill.
This may seem impossible since Ford summoned Bill when he was in Gravity Falls, way past when he was born. Bill still may have effect.
What if Bill's consciousness guided Ford into his cave and Ford unlocked it with his strange hand? Maybe Bill's previous summoner had a six fingered hand or he/she had the knowledge that a smart six-fingered-hand man is impossible.
