So, I've kind of lost interest in my tribe on. For now, anyway. So I could put it on hold and start a new one! Yay! This is the prologue, and on,y what I've written so far:
The dark mist swirled around the icy moor, as if it was watching. It seemed to cackle, and jump with joy.
"At last," it rasped. "Our time has come! Dark shall rule while the light dies under our claws!" The harsh laughter of cats echoed through the night.
"Now brethren, let us find those who will help us," the first voice purred. There was murmurs of agreement, and the mist collected itself into a dark mass. As it paused, seeming to think, there was a flash of starlight, like a comet towards the ground.
"Stop!" The cat of the light yowled. Others formed behind him, sparkles surrounding their paws.
"What, weaklings? Have you come to stop us?" The mist laughed, heaving with amusement. The first Tom, orange like the sun, growled in humiliation.
"No, Moorclaw. You know that. We have come to make you leave." Moorclaw laughed.
"Ah, Sunstep. You cannot stop me, with my true kin's spirits behind me." Sunstep growled.
"Not alone, but my true kin will help me." He stomped his paw into the ground, and a yellow light appeared. The blue grey she cat behind him stood forward.
"You have no place here, Moorclaw!" She extended her claws, and icy shards on the ground became pointed claws. The mist growled, and a brown shape padded out of it.
"Hello, Rainscar!" The brown shape was the leader of the mist, smirking proudly. Rainscar hissed, her fur puffed up.
"Long time no see," Moorclaw meowed. The black Tom stepped forward, setting himself next to Rainscar and Sunstep.
"That's the way we like it, Moorclaw." The misty brown tom frowned.
"Don't you like me, Leafcall?" Leafcall snarled. The last cat from the comet padded over the icy grass, white fur shining.
"Calm yourselves. Moorclaw will leave, he knows he cannot win, with the four of us." She nodded to the other three.
"Breezewhisper, I will not calm until this poor imitation of a cat leaves Rainscar's territory!" Leafcall retorted, fur down his back prickling. Rainscar flashed a smile at him. Sunstep nodded, edging his yellow fire closer to Moorclaw. The misty brown tom sighed.
"Fine, you spoil sports! Let us leave, my kin!" He jumped into the mist, disappearing. The dark substance evaporated like, well, mist on a sunny day.
Tell me what you think!
