We stopped at a hotel and Nail was checking his car for a disguise for us, mine was a pair of glasses and a scarf and he put on a fedora

"You walk out of the car first and wait at the lobby for me, got it?"

'Walk to the lobby and wait' I kept repeating to myself as I walked to the hotel's lobby soon Nail walked in.

"Nail call mom and tell her we're not coming home tonight."

"Ok"

We were currently in the elevator

"Yeah mom we just feel like spending some time together"

"Yeah

"We won't argue or try to kill each other

Yeah some times I always want to stab him and watch him die but after what happened today I don't think that's ever gonna happen.

"What did mom say?" I asked

"Well she said we can stay and dad travelled to Mecca for a business trip this morning after we left"

The elevator dinged 3rd flop now look for room 23, Ok 20,21,22 and 23. We got in, took the bags to the room.

I just remembered he was about to tell me something.

"Nail you were about to tell me something before those 'lurkers' came and try to..... Kill you"

I'm getting scared now that I can hear whispers maybe it's the lurkers
"Who said that!?"

"Nail someone's in here with us" the lurkers maybe they followed us.

"Ayesha calm down. Now breathe in and out"

We were both breathing heavily, I can feel that he's also scared in the inside but being brave. Well someone has to be the adult to keep me calm because I'm going to loose it if no one does.

"What did you hear?"

"I-I. The voice said should I tell her and yeah you should it's not hard'

His eyes widened, he definitely new something. He just stood there looking at....well nothing

"Do you know something?, please tell me. Now am trembling.

"No one is here it's just the two of us and that was the same thing I was arguing about with myself........... and that means you..............you read my mind"

That is sooooo impossible, humans can't read mind.
"Humans can't read minds, it was just a coincidence" I said trying to convince him and also convince myself.

It's only vampires that can read minds and other stuff and in reality Vampires do not exist, so yeah.

" let's just pretend it never happened Yeah?"
"Yeah, good. You'll sleep on the bed and I'll sleep on the couch.
I don't want to be late for school tomorrow"

He never likes going to school,always goes to school late. So he must be pumped about this new school

"Uhm Nail since when did you like school?" I asked

"uh since I told you I changed dah" he said like it wasn't obvious and that's not normal.
    
  I went to the bathroom did my night routine.......my clothes!, I forgot to bring my clothes with me. I tied my towel tightly on my chest. Operation get my clothes is a go!

This is stupid, so I grabbed a short and
t-shirt then went back to the bathroom.

Immediately I opened the bathroom door I heard a girly scream.    Oh.My.God. Nail did not just let some random girl in here and wants to start something heated.

"Nail you let a girl in here and I thought you've changed"
No one was in here it was just Nail standing there staring at the TV and from the look on his face he was scared, hurt, lost, sad, sad, nervous and anxious, he was...pale. This is not good.

I sat beside him and OMG, storm collapses a crane in Macca. يا الله 
"Poor people are dead and DAD! Dad is-" I couldn't complete the sentence but Nail did "there and he's gone"
There is no way, he can't be , he won't be, he's not, he's strong so he will be safe and healthy once again for mom, for Nail, for me for us. 

Dad left so early today and he looked so excited because he had a business trip and he told us when he lands he'll go and see the Ka'abah

"Call mom and ask if she's heard the news" I manage to say, I was holding in a sob, Nail was crying and nobody was there to comfort me. Usually when am sad he an dad always cheer me up.

"Nail shhh it's going to be ok, he's not gone..... I can feel it and I know it" I told him "I hope so" I trailed and whispered the last sentence. I feel it in my bones and down my spine that he's alive

"Mom said he was on his way out of the mosque and y-you know you have to push past people to get out so he must have gotten out w-when The Crane Collapsed" he's crying really hard, I was just patting his back and whispering suiting words to him.

I really don't know how to deal with boy ties why? Because he has never in his entire life cried in front of me.

He rested his head on the crock of my neck
"I have to tell him about my love life, crushes and stupid and random things" I said

"Please call mom and forget about your love life" he manage to say

I took my phone and dialed mom.

"Hi mom"

'Ayesha are you ok' she asked

" yeah mom" I put it on speaker

"Have you heard about the crane"
'
Yeah. May their soul rest in peace. Now stop crying and sobbing and pray for their soul.' 
I heard her mumble a 'lucky believers they died on their way out of Ka'bah and will enter Al-Jannah.

I turned to Nail, then said
"Mom Nail is crying and I'm trying to calm him down also dad is one of those people who died. Aren't you worried?" Isn't she worried about dad?, he's health? and his life.

"What!?" She exclaims

So she doesn't know.
