Aleks' POV:
[A/N: SHORT ONESHOT. Sorreh.]
I'm trying to recall any important memories. I look down at the blank notepad, tapping my pencil's eraser against it lightly. I bite my bottom lip as I try to think.
I start scribbling down something.
'I stood behind Eddie as he bent down to pick the gun up. He stood straight and flipped it over in his hand, examining it carefully. He told me something- I can't remember what it was. He grips onto it's handle. His finger wrapped near the trigger. About to shoot...-'
No. Nada. That isn't at all what happened. I mean, I can't exactly remember, but I know THAT would never happen. Eddie can be serious and careful at times, especially when he needs to be.
Let me try again.
'I stood there in a state of shock, the gun on the ground, Eddie on the floor, a pool of blood surrounded his body and my fee-'
No. That STILL doesn't sound right, god dammit. I need to think, how did it go on that day? I need to write what happened.
I didn't do it. It wasn't me. I don't remember anything that happened that day. It was all a blur.
We were playing video games.
Eddie runs out of the house after he loses.
He finds our shed.
I follow him into it.
We find my dad's gun.
He looks at it-
And everything else is gone. It's like the most important puzzle piece had gone missing. It's just gone- POOF, disappeared in mid air. No one knows what happened.
I mean- I was fucking there, I was right next to Eddie. But I can't recall any important or useful memories. It's so irritating, I need to remember.
What the fuck happened to Eddie?
I wasn't the one who killed him. I couldn't be. I didn't even know about the gun. I don't know how to use one, how to reload, shoot- NOTHING!
How the hell could I have killed him?
It's impossible. They're just using me as a suspect. They're baffled, confused, unsure. So they just use the person who was at the crime scene.
Which was me.
I call that a load of bullshit.
Because thing is... I would never kill the man I loved.
