Autumn woke up the next day still a little sore from the night before. She sat up in her bed and noticed that Brian was still sound asleep. This was unusual for her because he would always leave for work before she got the chance to wake up. she slowly eased her way out of bed, making sure that she didn't wake him. She walked into the bathroom and took a 15 minute shower. She walked back into the bedroom and noticed that he was still sleeping. She walked into the closet and picked out a pair of grey sweat pants and white tank top. She put her clothes on and walked down to the kitchen. She made a pot of coffee and walked out to get the morning paper. She walked back in and saw Brian sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee. She rolled her eyes as she walked in and grabbed her coffee mug. She grabbed the pot of coffee and tried to pour her a cup, but it was empty.
"Did you really drink all of the coffee that I just made?", Autumn said in an irritated tone
"Yeah, but I don't like it. It's too sweet"
"I know. That's why I made it for myself" she said in an irritated tone
"Well you can just make yourself some more" he said as he took another sip "What we having for breakfast?"
"I don't know" she said as she gave him a vile look "What do you plan on cooking?"
"What do you mean "What do I plan on cooking?" he said as he stood up and grabbed the newspaper from her hand
"You know where the pots are at and you have fully functional body parts, so get the cooking"
"Apparently you didn't learn anything from last night" he said as he pushed past her "Maybe I have to teach you another lesson"
He walked upstairs to his bedroom and slammed the door. 5 minutes later autumn heard the shower running. She wanted to grab her keys and go to the hospital so that she could see Daniel, but she knew that she couldn't since Brian was still home. She decided that she was going to see her best friend, Michele, who she hadn't talked to sine she had first gotten married.
She walked upstairs to inform Brian that she was going out so that he wouldn't be suspicious. She walked in and saw Brian walking out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist.
"I'm going out, but i'll be back later" she said as she walked in and put her shoes on
"Where are you going?", he asked suspiciously
"I'm going to see Michele", she said as she grabbed her keys and walked to the door
"Well you can't"
"Why not", she asked as she stopped and looked at him with a confused look on her face
"We have an event at church today and everyone expects to see you and I together"
"Why do I have to go?" she said annoyed "You're the pastor"
"And you're the pastors wife, so get changed" he said as he walked past her and into their closet
Autumn let out a loud sigh and she changed into another one of her "Church Appropriate" outfits. They finished getting dressed and got into Brian's car. They drove for an hour until they had reached the location of the church. Brian and Autumn walked out and greeted everyone with fake smiles. Brian walked onto the pulpit as Autumn took a seat in the congregation with the other pastor's wives.
Autumn sat quietly as she tried to keep a look of interest on her face when in reality she was extremely bored. She couldn't wait for it to be over with. The only thing that kept her awake was the thought of getting to talk to Daniel again. He seemed like a cool person, and she started to think of him an acquaintance.
