"Oh, hey man." Peeta awkwardly greeted him.
"Well, better run along Prim, time for a bath, go to mom." Katniss ordered Prim away.
Gale spoke easily."I just came over to see if you wanted to go hunting with me? It's been so long that I need this distraction."
"Um, I actually can't but I'm pretty sure Peeta can! I have to meet up with Madge, Mom ordered me to have a girl's night out but lord knows I don't need one" Katniss rolled her eyes at the thought of it. She didn't Madge, but she wasn't in love with the idea.
"I know I can for sure, my parents won't allow me to work at the bakery anymore since they say now as a victor I am not needed."
Gale hoped Peeta didn't go. "Are you sure, Peeta? I don't want to hassle you and you look pretty tired."
"Anything for my man! You saved the life of Katniss and I will forever be in your debt."
"Problem solved. Now get out now." Katniss was being somewhat of a pusher.
The walk to the woods was quiet and Gale nor Peeta talked. You were able to hear the heavy steps of Gale and the breathing of Peeta. They set up the traps and Peeta grabbed a bow. Gale was trying to teach Peeta how to use it since he was still a newbie at it.
"All right, now what you are going to do is hold it like this." Gale was now right behind Peeta and was holding Peeta's arms, he felt the warmth of Peeta. It turned him on. "And, and, pull back, like this."
Peeta caught on and whispered quietly, "Like this? Am I doing it right?"
"Yeah, completely." Gale stepped away and could not stop smiling. Peeta thought he did something wrong.
They hunted for about two hours and caught six squirrels and a baby dear. Everything was going smoothly until they heared loud growls. An enormous wolf came running out of the east side and sprinted at them. Peeta and Gale ran as fast as they could without stopping. They left their hunt for the wolf hoping it would leave them alone but didn't take any chances so they just kept running. Peeta, being a clutz, tripped and fell. Gale tripeed over Peeta and fell right on top of him. They stood still for about ten seconds until Gale rolled over and saw that Peeta's thigh was bleeding. There was a stick stuck in it.
"Peeta, take off your pants! You are losing too much blood!"
Peeta hesistated.
