"Where's Gale and Peeta?" Snow's voice was stern.
"I'm unsure at the moment, but I'll find them." Alcide paused. "Must the reason for my mission be a secret?"
President Snow cleared his throat, "I am aware of the situation as you should have been already. There seems to be an illegal relationship between those two."
"But man on man isn't morally wrong in the Capi-" Alcide was cut short.
"THAT IS IN THE CAPITOL! NOT THE DISTRICTS!" Snow was clearly angered by Alcide. "Make sure no one sees you hanging up this call. Now go, and remember 'May the odds be ever in your favor.' Report back immediately."
Alcide was terrified by that man, the way he quoted Reaping Day, it was mysterious. He placed the phone back onto the wall and walked over to the living room, but it wasn't his house, or at least Peeta's. He was inside Haymitch's house waiting to surprise his new fuck buddy with a big cock-slap to his face.
Alcide waited on Haymitch for countless minutes before he grew annoyed and left. He slipped his pants and shirt back on and headed out. On the road from Victor's Village to the plaza, he witnessed the pale face of Katniss and Peeta talking to her as Gale tried to stop her from walking. The three looked over to Alcide and Alcide just strut faster.
Alcide took notice of the crowds of people gathering around the Town Hall, but was too tired to check it out and left home, to Peeta's old home. What was he doing? This isn't the Capitol. This isn't his life. It's the life that President Snow had chosen for him. Not even in the Capitol could someone be free.
Rebellion was everywhere throughout Panem, even citizens from the Capitol wanted it, but were just too afraid. Alcide didn't know much, just enough to decipher the hardships of the people.
The Capitol citizens have more like than those in the districts, what with no reapings, they also have marriage equality with no issues. In the districts, it's still frowned upon.
He remembered the videos that he watched in the Capitol of the great war, all those buildings catching fire from explosions. All the bloody bodies everywhere that was caused by the Captiol. Alcide himself started to question the true power of President Snow.
