Evan' POV

7:12pm
"Sydney come on open the door. I know this is your apartment." I whispered out loud. After confessing to Delirious that I love Sydney, I felt like I needed closure. I needed to tell her this, but I think she needed to hear it face to face. So I flew all the way to North Carolina to visit her.

I had her address from when I sent her a birthday present. I decided that I was going to double check with Luke too because he knows her address. He confirmed that I had the right one and that he could swing by my hotel room to hang for a few if I had the time. He lives in the same apartments as she does which is pretty cool.

Finally, the door swung open. I smiled as I pulled up the flowers I had with me. My smile instantly dropped at the sight.

I will never forget that day.

6:12pm
I yawned as I pulled into the apartment buildings. I scanned the 3 building in front of me, having absolutely no idea where in the hell I was going. I saw the leasing office and decided to park to ask someone for directions.

I hopped out of the rental and locked the doors before walking to the office. As I was walking, I suddenly smelt a familiar scent in the air. Cigarettes. I crinkled my nose and continued to walk to the only window open of a chain of windows with a woman who looked very angry for being here.

"Excuse me? Where's apartment 96C?" I asked the worker.

"C complex, 9th floor, door 6." She said flipping the page in her magazine as she blew a bubble with her chewing gum.

"Okay cool. Um, where exactly is C complex?" She huffed and put her magazine down before looking at me. She gave me a painfully fake smile.

"Outside, go straight, turn right on Cplex St. Park anywhere. Go into the Cplex park area, then to the elevator, up to floor 9, and walk to room 6." I nodded slowly. She looked me up and down, blowing a bubble and popping it. She rolled her eyes.

"You're on Mountain View Apartment St. To get to C complex you need to go straight then turn right on Cplex St. A complex street, the first building, is Aplex, B complex street, the second building, is Bplex, C complex street, the third building and the one you need, is the is Cplex. Get it? Got it? Good. Have a nice day." The lady said as she closed the metal blinds to the window she was at.

6:36pm
My anxiety has officially kicked in and shifted into overdrive. I looked at the floor as I walked quickly towards the elevator. I didn't see the person walking towards me until we were both knocked back onto the floor. "Dude I'm so sorry!" I said, brushing myself off and standing up.

"Ah shit, bro. It's no problem. I was on my phone and not paying attent- Evan?" I looked up to see Luke smiling at me.

"Luke! Holy shit dude! How are you, man? It's been a while." I helped him off the ground and he brushed himself off before smiling back at me.

"I'm good actually. I've been a lot better, but I'm coping, ya know? I'm on my way to the store right now though." Luke said.

"That's good. Sorry I never formal gave my condolences." I patted his shoulder.

"Thanks man, but-uh-what are you doing all the way in North Carolina?" I scratched the back of my neck, confused at his question. I told him I was coming.
