Victoria pushed her hair out of her eyes as she said in her charming British accent, "Well thank you, kind sir."
"No problem...." Aidan muttered as he looked down, towards the badly sealed front door. "Crap, lets go, quickly." Aidan led her down the metal rungs leading to the storeroom in the back of the store. As soon as he jumped down from the ladder, Aidan bolted through the whole huge store, frantically trying to reach the others, including the 3 kids who had been camping out in the store. He dashed through the aisles, stumbling on abandoned shopping carts left over from the past few weeks of puer chaos. Aidan finally reached the front of the store, but bent over, panting because of his asthma. Luke turned his attention off talking to Ava and Cleo, and faced Aidan.
"What's wrong?" Luke bent over to help Aidan.
"Its..open....the door, outside....strangers."
"Crap. Ava, try to seal the door, Cleo just get those two out of here." Luke said, motioning towards Josie and Marcus.
"Do you need any other help?" a clearly British voiced piped up from behind Aidan. "Because I'm availible."
"Uhm, sure. Can you help Ava with the door, but hurry.. I can see those freaks getting closer and closer. Wheres that other kid? The one who was defending your friend? He needs to be helping out here or we're all dead." Luke ran off, looking for something to barricade the door, in case the girls couldn't seal the door in time.

I stomp, I growl, but they are
scared. I will eat. Chomp munch slush food. Yes food.
Foolish children. I thought I told you to keep the door closed.
You'll let the flies in, I had said.
I'll teach the a lesson. I growl, and my subjects follow me. I am the queen of this place.
No flies are allowed in my kingdom.
Unless they are hungry.

An infected woman with hay-coloured hair, her skin on her putrid face hanging in flaps, growled and barred her jagged, yellowing teeth. She stomped and started to stumble towards the open door that Ava and Victoria were trying to seal. Victoria looked up, her brown eyes widening as she whisped, "Oh my God."
"What?" Ava said. Victoria didn't respond, but Ava looked up, and saw the disgusting woman stumbling towards the door, with more than 10 other infected people, from little kids to old women. "LUKEE!!!" She screamed, working even harder to close the door correctly. Luke came running to Ava, and told her to come, leaving Victoria alone.
"Wait- please, I cant die like this! Please!" Victoria wailed into her hands. The ragged woman and her repulsive followers stumbled closer. Victoria tried to slide the door closed, since there was only 4 or 5 inches left to close. She looked down and saw a rock jammed in between the door and the slider. Victoria kicked the rock away from the door, and slid the glass door shut. She leaned against the door, breathing deeply, listening to the incesant moans of the strangers outside. Abruptly, Luke and Ava came into the front of the store, holding a 5 foot long beige table with a Starbucks label in the middle. They carried it to the door where Victoria was, and as she moved aside, they slammed it against the door, like a barricade. Ava and Luke ran back, grabbing another similar table, and stacked it on top of the first table. The strangers pounded against the clear, strong glass. Their deep groans echoed in Victoria's ears as they hit the glass.
"One...three...ten. Fifteen, theres fifteen of them, and what... 8 of us? We're screwed if they break in." Ava said.
"You counted Josie and Marcus. They can't fight, they're kids." Aidan said from behind Ava and Luke. "So, only 6 of us. Or 7 if Victoria is going to stay with us."
"Let's get somewhere safer, see if we might be able to move the shelves, to make a sort of barrier between us and them. If they break in." Luke commented as everyone shuffled off to find a shelf that they could loosen and move.

"Matty...Matty, I'm sorry, but I have to, the queen, she told me to.." Mya sobbed, the silver edge of her rusty knife digging into Matthias's throat.
"The queen? Mya, come to your senses, please!"
"I can't deny her orders, Matty...shes the queen!"
"Mya, what are you talking about? Who's the queen? Please listen to me..!" Mya's blade dug in deeper to Matthias's throat. Matthias swiftly brought his leg up to connect with Mya's stomach, and she doubled over in pain, dropping her knife onto the linoleum tiles. Matthias snatched it up off the ground, holding it out towards Mya, his hand shaking.
"Matty, give it back please.... She'll kill me Matty! Do you want me to die?" Mya let out a burst of sobs. "Matty give it! Give it now!" Mya screamed as high and loud as she could, and it echoed throughout the store. She looked back off, with a crazed look in her green eyes, smiling, at the thought of him being hurt, and writhing on the ground. "Give it Matthias. The queen will be so pleased." Mya calmly sauntered over to Matthias, and clutched the blade of the knife, making her hand bleed. She took it, and raised her hand, about to plunge the knife into Matthias's chest. Matthias opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out except a squeak. Mya brandished her knife, and swiped it upwards again, getting ready to drive the knife into Matthias. He stood there frozen, unable to react to the gleaming blade being pushed down towards him. Matthias clenched his eyes shut, waiting for the knife to slam into him.
