I just finished the last test I had to take. I was dreading this day. Today was the day I was going home. Lilah had brought in some clothing for me to change into. She was waiting in the room as I showered.

I didn't want to leave, I've grown attatched to this place, even if I did get bored or lonely when Brennen wasnt in there with me but at least I got to see him. Now I probably won't see him... Ever maybe.

I turn the water off and grab the towel from the hanger about me. I wrap it about my body as best as I can then yell out Lilah's name so she can help me out.

"I tried to pick something cute out, I wanted to take you to spend some time out with me," she showed me the outfit. It was alright. It consisted of a sleeveless, black and white flannel, high waisted jeans with rips over the knees, my favorite back and white Adidas, and some make up.

I had put on my underwear and bra already while she was pulling out the clothes, she helped me put the jeans over my legs and my shoes. I was buttoning up my shirt when someone knocks on the door.

"Come in," I call out, buttoning the last button. Brennen walks in with a present bag in his hands.

"Hey, I wanted to stop by before you leave..." He smiled walking closer to me. I was sitting in my wheelchair all dressed, just missing my make up. He hands me the gift bag and hugs me, kissing the top of my head.

"Open it up," he smiles, I nod and open the bag. Inside there's a stuffed animal. A tiger, my favorite animal, along with a bracelet. I pull it out and put it on.

"Now we have matching ones," he shows me his, its a simple skinny leather bracelet with a metal dreamcatcher in the middle.

"Thank you so much, I love it!" I gush. I hug the stuffed tiger and thank him again.

"Its nothing, I'm just gonna miss my favorite patient," he shrugged.

"I'm gonna miss you too, but we could still stay in touch," I suggest. I still haven't gotten his number in the past 3 weeks. He catches on what implying and hands me his phone to put my number in, I type in 'Alice' with a heart eye emoji and a blue heart. He types his number into my phone and writes 'Brennen' with the fire emoji and two tongue emojis. I laugh but save it.

"Alright, well I have to go, but I'll try and stop by again later before you actually leave," he smiles and hugs me again. I agree and watch him leave. I hadn't noticed that Lilah had walked out until I see her behind the door when Brennen leaves. She says somethings to him before he walks away.

"Can I do your makeup?" She asks pulling out my makeup bag. I nod not wanting to look at my pale skin.

She doesn't do much but I get bored of her constantly moving my head to the sides. Once she's done she hands me the little mirror from the bag and I look at myself.

"Holy shit," I breathe out. I haven't really looked at myself this close in a long time. I looked alive, like the me before all of this.

"Can you hand me my lipstick bag?" I ask as I see my pale lips. She passes them to me and unzip it looking for an appropriate color for the look. I apply my 'Carol Bliss' cremesheen MAC lipstick.

"Your hair looks fine as it is, so I'm just leaving it." Lilah says and puts everything away.

"Should I get the doctor to bring in the papers for your release?" Lilah asks.

"Sure, I'm just gonna text my dad real quick," I agree and pull my phone back out.

To Dad; Lilah is taking me out today, I'll probably get home for dinner. I love you.

I rolled my wheel chair closer to the bed to get my bag, looking for some perfume. I find my favorite Victoria's Secret perfume, Fearless.

I zip up the bag and sit patiently waiting for the doctor to arrive.

The door opens and comes in Lilah and Dr. Willow. After several minutes for signing many papers I was finally able to go. He wishes me luck, then leaves.

"You ready?" Lilah asks with a huge grin on her face.

"Yeah, let me text Brennen really quick though," I said. I text him saying I was on my way out with Lilah. He replied seconds after saying he'd meet my by the main lobby.

"Let's go," I said putting a duffle bag on lap so Lilah didn't have to carry all of the bags.

She opens the door and roll out of the room and into the hall way. She leads me down the halls and we get to the main lobby quickly. I see Brennen talking to a lady at the front desk.

He sees me and his smile grows, making me look down and blush.
"I'm gonna go pull up the car, you can talk to him while I'm gone," she teases before taking the duffle bag off my lap and walks out. Brennen meets up to me, huge grin still on his face.

"You look beautiful," he compliments, I look up at him with a shy smile.

"Thank you. Lilah wants to hang out and she wanted to do my makeup." I ramble on.

"Well either way you look great,"

"I looked half dead for the past few weeks," I laughed, he didn't say anything but laugh along with me and shake his head.

"Its gonna be different without you around," he says in all seriousness

"I know... It's gonna be weird for me not having someone to talk to at home. I mean I'll have Lilah or Dad but thats different-" I stop talking before I say something I'll regret. He notices and smiles at me.

"I know. Now I won't have anyone to hang out with around here,"

"That doesn't mean we can't hang out," I try my best to imply that we should hang out outside of this hospital.

"I'll make sure we do," he winks at me, making me let out a shy laugh.

I recognize Lilah's car pull up and I can see her huge smile through the side window.

"I'll talk to you later, have fun..." He sees Lilah come out for he car. I grab his hand and pull him in for a hug.

When we pull away, we said our goodbyes and I rolled to Lilah. She helped me into the front seat then put my chair in the back seat.

Goodbye hospital.
