~Norman~

I was surprised. I expected Tiff to be gone the minute I told her about my past. And now, she was laying beside me, snuggled close and asleep. I felt my heart warming, and I wrapped my arms around her. She mumbled something in her sleep, and nuzzled her face into my neck. I let out a sigh of content, and kissed her forehead. I was shirtless, so her breaths stirred my chest hair.

I liked Tiff. I liked her a lot. And I wanted to do something for her. Something sweet, romantic.

I sat up, and let her hand fall from my chest. I slowly got out of the bed, and made it quietly. Tiff was still out, and was hugging nothing. I smiled at her, and quietly walked out of the bedroom. I walked into Sean's, where Sean was snoring like a bulldozer. I shook his shoulder, making him grunt.

"Norm? What the hell are you doing?" He demanded.

"Can you help me with something?" I asked.

"With what?" He muttered.

"I wanna make Tiffany some breakfast." I whispered. Sean was a better cook than me.

"Ok? Then go make her some." He muttered.

"Can't you help?" I asked. I wanted it to be perfect, and if anyone can cook perfectly other than Tiffany, then it'd be Sean.

"It won't mean shit to her if I make it." Sean pointed out. "If you wanna make her feel loved, make her breakfast yourself."

I nodded. He did have a point. Sean rolled over after muttering something under his breath, and I heard his snores again. I turned around, and headed into the kitchen.

~Tiffany~

I woke up alone. The covers were tucked around my shoulders, while I was laying on my stomach. The aroma of pancakes wafted through the air, making my stomach rumble. I sat up, and glanced out the window. The sun wasn't on this side of the house, but I could see the light blue sky stretching in forever in an endless loop. I sighed, and got out of bed. As soon as my feet hit the floor, I heard Norman.

"Get back in bed! I'll be there in a minute!" He called from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and got back into the bed. I crossed my arms, waiting. The smell of breakfast was making me hungry, and I was getting impatient.

"Hurry up! I'm starving!" I called.

"I'm almost done! Just gotta make it look edible." I chuckled, and laid down.

I liked Norman. A lot. Not so sure about love, but I definitely liked him. His past wasn't the best, I'll admit. But I wanted to be with him still. After all, he was trying to change. Trying to at least redeem himself. And I admired him for it.

I was interrupted from my thoughts when I heard someone walking down the hallway. Norman entered the room after a second, holding a wooden tray. I smiled at it, and him. There was a stack of three pancakes, and two sides of syrup. He even went above and beyond and had a small vase of wild flowers on the side. I sat up, and rested against the head board, while Norman placed the tray in my lap.

"This is so beautiful, Norman!" I exclaimed, smiling hugely at him. He leaned down for a kiss. I kissed him back, placing my hand on the side of his face. I pulled him in, kissing him passionately.

"You're so beautiful too." He murmured once we pulled away.

"So what's the occasion?" I asked, taking a bite of the pancakes.

"Nothing. I just wanna make you feel special." He said casually. I smiled again, and leaned towards him. He leaned too, giving my temple a kiss. "Thank you. You don't have to be here."

"I know I don't. I want to be here." I murmured. "I like you, Norm."

"I like you too. I like you so much." He mumbled, burying his face into my neck. I smiled. Maybe he didn't want to say the word "love", and I didn't really blame him. After all, we've only known each other for about a week, so I understand. But the thing is, that week, felt like months. And maybe it's because of all the shit we've done, but I still could barely wrap my head around it. I liked being with Norman, and he made me feel special.

I felt him giving my neck small kisses, his stubble tickling the soft smooth skin. "Babe, you think I could eat before it gets cold?" I asked, rubbing his back. He pulled away, smiling slightly. He nodded, and gave my shoulder one last rub, before heading out of the room. I smiled, and continued eating my breakfast.

A couple moments later, the floorboards creaked outside my room. I glanced up at Sean, who had a small smile on his face.

"Thank you." He mumbled. I nodded.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon."
