I sat in the waiting room of the hospital, worryingly biting the skin around my fingers.

Last night I rushed Tyler to the hospital, after days of him throwing up and his skin getting pail.

I was scared from the first day he started to get sick, it didn't seem like your average flu or virus, it was a lot worse than the from the beginning. But what is really was, I didn't know.

"Family of Mr. Tyler Joseph?" I heard a voice call from behind me.

I stood up and turned to see it was a short, blond haired doctor.

As I walked towards her she spoke more.

"Hello I'm Dr. Black. What's your relationship with Mr. Joseph?"

"I-I'm his fiance, Josh Dun." I said with a shaky voice.

"Alright, come with me."

We walked through doors leading to white coloured hallways, after walking through what felt like a maze of turns, we stood in front of a glass window.  On the inside was a bed, Tyler resting on it. His knees pulled up to his chest, laying sideways facing away from where I was standing.

"There's bad news." said Dr. Black.

"No good news?" I replied with a worried half-smile.

"I'm afraid not at this moment."

Tears started swelling up in my eyes as I heard her sigh. My heart beat was now rapid, she opened her mouth to speak again.

"I'm sorry that I have to tell you this, but Tyler has cancer."

My heart dropped as I fell to the ground. The sound of my knees crashing with the tile floors echoed throughout the halls. My hands reached up to cover my face as years began falling down the sides of my cheeks.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Dun." she said as she crouched next to me and placed her hand on my back.

"Does he know yet?" I managed to get out, still sobbing in the process.

"Not yet. I figured I'd tell you first to see if you'd want to break the news."

"I'll do it." I said, standing up and wiping away my tears.

"Alright, go right in."

I walked into Tyler's hospital room and sat in the chair next to his bed. Trying desperately to hold back my tears.

Tyler turned to face me, sitting up and crisscrossing his legs.

"Josh? Is everything okay? Why do you look like you've been crying? Do they know what's wrong yet?" Tyler continuously questioned me in the sweetest voice, causing my t s at a to start flowing again.

"Josh what's wrong?"

I stood up from my seat and stood as close as I could to him, lifting my hands up to his face and cupping his cheeks.

"I love you, Tyler Robert Joseph." I said with tears falling from my face.

"I love you too Josh. Are you gonna tell me what's wrong?" he looked up at me with his innocent brown eyes.

"Tyler they know what's wrong with you."

"What is it?"

"You have cancer." I never thought I'd ever have to say those words. As they escaped from my mouth, my heart beat began to race again.

Tyler looked at me, no emotion on his face, his mouth sat open and suddenly tears started to come to his eyes.

"I-I have... Cancer?" he said, his voice was low and I felt the pain of the word hit my heart as he started crying.
