Abigail woke up with a startled sob, panting, with sweat glistening on her body knowing what a crappy day it was going to be. She forced her long legs over the edge of her bed and got up with a long and heavy sigh.
Jacob did the same only he wasn't as broken as her and they didn't know each other. Abby was stuck in her pessimistic dull ways and Jacob was out to save the world.
So you can see they were polar opposites.
"Mom, I'm leaving, bye ".
Abby shouted, running through the woods at the back of her house to get to school. The outline of her high school shown hauntingly against the backdrop of monstrous trees. Abby sprinted towards the school only to hear the second bell ringing an awful atrocious sound that scared black Ravens into flight.
Abby opened the door to the class room slowly hoping that Mrs. Hemsworth will be too busy spouting whatever garbage she can come up with to the class to notice her small fragile frame slipping through the tiny crack in the door.
She managed to successfully get through the small crevice however, she made the mistake of looking up into a pair of the most enchanting green eyes she had ever seen.
Those eyes did not belong to Mrs. Hemsworth.
"Crap", she muttered.
A brief moment passed and not a sound was made. The teacher didn't say a thing either, just stared at her which made her felt very uncomfortable.
"Are you a new student?"He finally asked.
Yes, He,a man that Abby found quite intriguing. Abby has never found someone, man or woman to be attractive let alone intriguing.
"Yes,I mean no Sir I'm not a new student," Abby spoke.
"Please be on time to my class or there will be consequences."
"Please sit."
"Thank you,"Abby said loud enough for her ears but looking into the eyes of her new English teacher.
The class went by fast and no one paid much attention to Abby except her new teacher.
The bell rang and everyone scrabbled to exit the class."Stay."
She lifted her heavy eyelids to come face to face with her new teacher.
"Why were you late?"he asked quizzically
"I had a nightmare" Abby said.
"Are they a constant thing?"
"Yes," she replied getting uneasy with the attention and questions being asked.
"Will you tell me about them the next time they happen?"
"Um, sure?"
"Good,I'm Jacob by the way."
"Great," Abby said.
"And you are?"
"Unimportant," Abby replied.
She hurried out of the classroom ignoring the rhythmic thud of her heart.
The rest of the day was productive according to the other students. However, Abby thought it was a load of poo in her words of course we'll if I'm being accurate she would describe it as an unnecessary day that was created to torment people like her.
