"Hello to you too."
"Where were you?"
"Hanging out."
"With who?"
"Malik."
"Where have you been?"
"Hanging out."Jacob replied snidely.
"With who?"Abby's throat constricted waiting for his reply she hated the thought of anyone else with him and that was so hypocritical because she was frolicking with Malik.
"Aurora,the beautiful little girl that you love and who adores you."
"The one you've neglected,"Jacob thought shaking his head reminding himself that it wasn't her responsibility and he was just angry over the fact that she was showing his brother more interest and attention than him.
"Where's Aurora?"
"She's sleeping."
"Upstairs." He nodded up the stairs rocking back and forth on his heels.
Abby wanted to say something to reassure him that she cared for him deeply that she even might love him but it was hard for her to do so and she wasn't about to push it.
Jacob excused himself to answer the phone as Abby walked upstairs to Aurora's room.
"It's for you." He handed the phone to her instinctively checking on Aurora.
"Hey,Abby!"
"Hi, Sasha." Abby smiled pulling the phone away from ear.
"You wouldn't believe what just happened. This jerk just pushed me in the line while I was waiting for a hot chocolate in the school's cafeteria." She huffed,Abby could pictures Sasha crinkling her nose ready to explode just like her brothers did all the time.
"Can you believe this?" She asked annoyed.
Before Abby could voice her thoughts, Sasha carried on.
"So..." She drawled her tone suddenly perky again.
" I was wondering if I should throttle him,punch him in the balls or bash his head in with a crow bar?"I couldn't decide and your my life coach."
The line went silent and that was Abby's cue to start talking.
"Bash his head in with a crowbar." Abby said evenly,after all he did put his hands on a girl and disrupted her thoughts of getting hot chocolate.
It was hot chocolate for goodness sakes, the judge would understand.
"I knew I could count on you,I'll do it right now,later Abbs."
"Later Sasha."Abby chuckled.
"What did you advise my baby sister on doing?"Jacob asked narrowing his eyes.
"How to kill a guy in a video game."Abby covered easily.
"Mhm."Jacob nodded,his suspicion on high.
Abby moved closer to Aurora's crib watching her breathe peacefully.
"I missed you."Abby whispered kissing Aurora.
"Well,you would have,you've been missing with that idiot for weeks."
"In God knows where and just returning without a phone call."
"I had to take a break."
"You being an ex drug dealer isn't an easy thing to shove down my throat,much less digest. "
