[chapter five•unpredictable]
[Amelie's Point of View]
We decided to go out to the park the next morning at ten. Skye was still asleep, so Michael volunteered to watch her. I wasn't sure if was a good idea at first, but I left them to it. I thought maybe they'd be able to sort out their issues themselves. That's what Skye needed.
"Is there going to be this much drama the whole week?" Ashton asked me.
"Who knows?"
"If there is, we'll know Amelie will be there to fix it!" Luke said.
"Amelie Taylor - Drama Detective!" Ashton said, smiling.
"Y'know, this is kind of unreal," I said. "I'm disguised in a London park with three out of four members of 5 Seconds of Summer... Odd. I don't remember my life being anywhere near this exciting back home."
"They're not really disguises, just hats and sunglasses," Luke said. "So, life can't really be that much more fun with us."
"They're disguises enough."
"It's a beautiful dayy," Calum sang. "Chillin' with Amelaayy," He gestured for me to sing the next line.
"Nothing rhymes with Calum, but I'm hangin' with Calumm," I said, and he laughed.
Ashton laughed as well, a little too loud in fact, but Luke caught my attention.
He pointed to a small shop off in the distance. "Do you guys want coffee or something? There's a little shop over there, we could get breakfast."
"Sure," I said, "let's go."
"What're you going to get?" Calum asked me. "I'll pay."
"No, it's fine," I told him. "I brought my own money."
"But did you exchange your own money for British pounds?" He asked me.
"No... But I'll pay you back before I leave."
"I won't let you."
"I'll give it to Ashton to give to you."
"I'll mail the money back to your apartment."
I rolled my eyes. "Sometimes you're so much of a gentleman it's annoying."
"Is it really?" He asked.
"Yes, very much."
"Well, would you prefer I was a jerk?" He asked. "'Cause I can have that arranged."
"I would."
"Really?"
"Yeah, let's exchange pounds for dollars. Right here, right now."
"But that would be nice of me."
"No, because then I could pay for both of us."
"Yes but that would be me doing what you want... I think I'll do this instead," he said, and before I could ask, he had me draped over his shoulder.
"Really, Cal?" I asked as we approached the crosswalk. "That's all you got?"
"Alright, you asked for it-"
"CalUUHM!" I squealed. Ruthless tickling, huh? I guess that is pretty good jerk material... "STOP! PUT ME- AHAHA!"
"Aright, I won't torture you. I was considering it though. Your laugh is contagious."
He put me down so I could catch my breath, giving me enough time to punch him in the arm, and then led me to the tiny coffee shop Luke had found.
"So what do you want for breakfast? Cappuccino, Frap-"
