"So how are we going to find these people? The ones willing to fight a war that doesn't even exist yet?"
Chad asked the questions in a mocking tone, as they walked through a market area in New York.

"That's quite simple," said Oshane, "just walk around town and they'll find you."

Chad sighed. "Why do we even listen to this guy?"

There was a silence as they passed through the lunch hour crowd. People making their way back to work sparing glances at them if only to make sure they don't run into anyone.

"Because he helped us out. And he's always right about these things."

"Listen, Shane, because he predicted that a drug bust was a set up doesn't mean he's always right." Chad glanced around to see if anyone was paying a little too much attention.

These cops, in plain clothes, were under very loose instructions to find some people who might be willing to help an old fashioned cop with a hunch.

They walked around the downtown area waiting for something to happen, while Chad hoped the opposite. After a few minutes frustration started to set in. Turning to his partner, it seemed as if he was one with the universe. Lost in irrelevant thoughts.

"This is insane!"Chad turned to leave.

*Alarms*

As the alarm blared they turned towards the direction of the sound.
From the end of the alley, a man and a woman came running towards them in full black, holding cloth bags. Behind them a male and a female cop.

"Well waddy yah know. He's not crazy after all," Said Chad as he walked towards them.

They positioned themselves to stop the incoming duo. The lady was first and she barely avoided Chad's clothesline attempt by bending awkwardly. She however failed to notice Oshane who swept her off her feet before she was fully upright.

The man went in with a full blown punch at Chad who stopped it effortlessly. He went in for a punch of his own which was equally met. Seeing the well built man being matched by the medium built Chad was almost comedic.

By this time the lady had gotten up and was about to round house kick Oshane when she was met by the female police's baton. The clang of wood on bone sent a shrill through bystanders. The other cop then trained his gun at the man.

"I wouldn't move if I were you," said Darren, the male cop.

Oshane pulled his handgun and aimed it at his female opponent.
"Same for you, Missy"

This was greeted by cheer from the small crowd that had gathered at the start of the fight.

"You're very good. What do you say we put that talent to some real use?"
Oshane suggested as he put away his pistol.

"No, thanks. I'm on break," Said Facie Ann as she took out her handcuffs.

"Yeah I was having lunch nearby when I heard the shouts. People outside the store saw what was going down which alerted me to them." Daren handcuffed the muggers. "They made a mad dash when they saw me, and we ended up here."

"I could buy you a box of donuts," said Mundo.

"Always the wise guys." Darren tightened his handcuffs. To his amusement. Mundo groaned.

Chad took up one of the bags and looked inside. Diamond fitted jewelry of all types glistened under the mid day sun.

"How do you fit in?" Asked Chad motioning to the female cop.

"Petty officer I'm on break. Thought I'd do a bit of window shopping before heading to the office" she replied. She looked like she spent little time in casual wear. Looking as if she has been in service for a long time.

"So did we. Maybe we can just forget about this and start over as friends?" Said the quick thinking Saripha.

"You know, we just might," said Oshane with a glint in his eyes."How'd you all like to form a team?"

"What? You can't just ask them like that?" Chad practically shouted.

"I'm listening," said Saripha, edging him on.

"A team of people, whose unique skills are so special, that when combined are undefeatable."

"This is insane," said Chad to no one in particular. Looking away from the group and pacing.

Oshane continued, "We are here because of one such person who has seen the need to find others to help him. He sent us to find you."

Chad was amazed. Oshane's impromptu speech seemed to have hit home with the unusual group.

Darren was the first to come to his senses. "We're heading to central station with these two. If you want to continue this meet us there."

"Waddy yah know. Same place we're headed. Officer Hall," Oshane reached into his jacket to retrieve his badge, "this is officer Robinson. Shall we?"

They made their way towards their vehicles, robbers in tow. Although they were hand cuffed they walked of their own accord, following behind the police as if held by an invisible rope.

The fight had been recorded and was now on many popular sites. Surely by tomorrow it would be in the papers. Lucky for them their conversion afterwards was not audible, this would result in another unlikely group's interest in them. As it was, the other group never heard of the video.
