Chapter 7: Thank God!

Eren's POV
"I think I might love you too." She said as she stared into my eyes. I could still taste the faint sugary sweetness of honey from her lips. It seemed so perfect, until I could hear the muffled sounds of laughter in the background. 'Please don't let that be Levi. Anyone but Levi...' I pleaded in my mind as I turned my head to see Kathleen in the entrance of the hallway. "U-uh.. Um we were -uh.." My words drifted off as I tried to hunk of an excuse. "I saved you some breakfast. It's in the fridge if you want it." (f/n) said casually as she stood up and walked into the kitchen. "Thank you darling, could you heat it up for me?" Her mother asked as she grabbed a coffee cup off of the counter. "Of course," (f/n) said, and she started to heat up the food. 'How is she acting so casual? Is this something normal for her? Does she think I was joking?!' These thoughts occupied my head, and I almost didn't notice when (f/n) winked at me. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?' Then, she sat down next to me and whispered in my ear, "She can't see anything without her glasses. So, I don't know what she was laughing at, but it wasn't us." And with that, she stood up and left me on the couch again. 'Thank god.' I thought and sighed in relief.
