Alice's POV
I woke up with fear swollowing me in its depths and I felt warm arms around me . I washoping they weren't Taylors. If they were all hope would be lost . Everything in vain. I made myself and I looked at the person's face and I let out a cry of joy when I saw it was Alex's face. I started kissing his entire face crying with happiness that God had answered my prayers and let my mate live . He woke up suddenly acting if something was wrong . When he saw my face everything was ok and we just held each other just taking in the fact that we were together and alive. He pulled me close and whispered in my ear with tears in his voice.
"You are safe now my little one. I will not ever let anything happen to us. We are safe now. He is dead . It's ok now." He said rocking us together trying to not only convince me but himself that we were ok. In that moment I knew that we would come through any trials together and whole. I also realised he really loved me even though he hadn't voiced it. I could feel him nod in my hair and I laughed sending him one last quiet thought saying I love you
