:::Bruce:::

I was staying away from girls. Fuck that.

Ericka had text me before about wanting to chill, but we all know what happens when you chill. I am definitely not trying to set myself up for any of that chill mess. Hell, it's my job to hit a female with the chill. So, as soon as I got out of school, I dropped my backpack and dived onto my sofa and closed my eyes.

I was bound to sleep my whole day away. Maybe I could dream up a fairytale or some shit.

The knocking at my door had my eyes wide open. When whoever was on the end started banging all loud like they were the police, I jumped up and walked towards the hallway to the closet. As I opened the closet, I kept my eyes on the door before walking inside and reaching up on the shelf, grabbing my 9mm. Tucking it behind me, I walk to the door.

That's when the musical knocking started, keeping me dead in my tracks, putting in mind at who was at my damn door. I smirked and dropped my hands to my side, picking up my walking and opening the door.

As the door opened, I scratched the itch forming on the back of my head and held my arms out. Lesley and Gabby both dived into my arms, holding me tight as Chris came in behind them with their luggage. Damn, I missed my dawgs for real. And just seeing them for the first time in like two years had a nigga emotional.

All four of us used to roll together back when I lived in Augusta, Georgia. They were always two grades ahead of me in school, and that shit irked me. But they were the first kids in middle school that I bonded with when I got there. It was like I'd outgrown all the other students and they just didn't understand me. But when it came to Chris, Chris understood me better than anybody. I also tried to pursue a relationship with Chris.

Now, I'm gonna get something straight. Chris is a girl. But she's a full blown lesbian. A stud. And if you didn't know Chris, you didn't know Chris was born as Charisma. Her appearance would freak you out. You'd think she was born a male, for real.

She didn't come out the closet to me until I tried to fuck her when we were in the middle of playing a game of basketball in her backyard. She got so fed up with me trying to fuck her that she finally came out with it and told me she was into girls. The shit hurt. I was just 14 and I swore up and down Charisma was going to be my first love. But a nigga was wrong.

Our friendship was too tight to let it go, so eventually, I started looking at her as one of the boys. I looked at Chris as my big brother, not sister. She hated being called a girl. But I mean, what else could you call her when you grew up with her as your female friend?

She started taking some kind of FTM pills, whatever them shits called, to flip her hormones and shit. She even had her breasts surgically removed. When she did that shit, it broke my heart, for real. I mean, I was okay with her being gay, but I didn't think she'd take it to the extreme to become a full male. But, ever since she's been on those pills, I made sure to refer to her as a he, but inside, Chris was still Charisma to me.

Now Lesley and Gabby were Chris's cousins. They were twins. Although they were both sexy as fuck, they were on the lesbian bandwagon too. They were a little bit more feminine than Chris was. I mean, Chris had the dreads, the manly voice, just the whole demeanor of a man. But Lesley and Gabby still had their feminine ways. Gabby liked to wear makeup, but still sagged her pants, which was kind of a weird thing to me. But whatever floated their boats. Regardless, they are my niggas.

"What's up, bro?!" Lesley said as she and Gabby let go of me.

"We don't mean to just up and show up, but we knew you would be coming home around this time. We needed a getaway, for real." Chris said, pulling in the bags.
