I swear being pregnant and out of shape is a minor setback, sometimes.

My legs were sore, and it felt like if I took another step, I'd fall flat on the ground, face first.

Grabbing onto the rail of the dock, I lean over and took a deep breath, trying to catch it as sweat was pouring from every which way. I brushed my hair back and looked out into the river, wishing it was clean enough to drink.

Feeling a gentle tap on my shoulder, I look to my right and find Jeremy standing there, smiling at me with two bottles of cold water in his hand, drenched in sweat. I smile back and take one of the bottles  and waste no time opening it as I tried catching my breath. I tipped the bottle over into my mouth and damn near drunk the whole thing in one gulp.

Jeremy started cracking up at me as I looked his way, still swallowing down the water. Realizing that he thought me damn near dying was funny, I swallowed a bit more of my water and splashed him with the rest of it. He started to laugh even harder and opened his bottle of water, splashing me back, causing for me to scream at how cold it was, touching my skin.

Although I was tired, I started jogging away, screaming as he continued pouring his water on me.

I've never had this much fun exercising a day before in my life. Well, if you don't include sex. But this was actually fun.

After I'd been complaining over and over to Jeremy about my weight, he thought I should do something about it. And I swear to you, he's the best motivation I'd ever had yet. Him coming into my life, he was a positive breath of fresh air. And no doubt, friends is where I'd like to remain. He's too good of a person to be trapped up in my mess. And so was Bruce. I just had to face that I'd made a big mistake by my actions in the past and the things that I've done just needed to stay there. In the past. Even if that meant leaving Bruce behind. Besides, he didn't want me no way. So, I figure, why not start fresh with my new best friend? Especially when he's motivating me to exercise to get some of this weight off of me and be healthy for my baby girl. I was hardheaded when it came to doctor's orders, as you can see.

I grabbed my phone to take a look at the time. It was now 4:23PM. I'd been at the dock since 2PM and I'm sure Antoinette was bored at the house by herself. She's been spending a lot of time at my house and it was starting to have me growing suspicious because I hardly saw her. I made a mental note to ask her what was going on because this wasn't like her not to be at home under Chavez and CJ.

"You did a good job today, Tereny. To be honest, I thought you'd give up on me 30 minutes in. But you proved me wrong." Jeremy laughed as we walked down from the dock area to head to the parking lot to our cars.

"Ooh, some kind of faith you've got in me." I laughed.

"I have faith. I just didn't have it before you started running like you were too cute." I started laughing, realizing that I did have a little prissy run. I didn't run with my arms. I more so ran with my hands out as if I were trying not to trip. But he taught me how to run the proper way. Thank God.

    "Sure you did." I laugh.

"You down for the gym on Wednesday night? We could get about an hour in on the treadmill before I have to go in to work." Jeremy insisted. I looked his way.

    "I'd love to."

    "Cool."

As we finally crossed onto the cement near the parking lot, I looked out near the road to see the cars passing by and damn near tripped over a rock before Jeremy caught me. I was embarrassed and caught off guard, but felt safe around him. He walked me over to my car.
