The window steamed up with every breath she took, looking out at the vast array of hills and moorland as the four hour train journey took its toll on her. She was traveling by herself, through the English countryside on her way to her new home. Her parents hadn't died, or been abusive, they just needed a break, a break from their jobs and apparently, her. She was going to live with her great aunt and uncle for a few months, in a village, in the middle of nowhere.

The carriage she was sat in was almost empty, apart from a boy, looking at the back of his head and from assumption she guessed he was about the same age as her. He was nodding his head and banging his fingers on the table, she assumed (again) that he was listening to music, and that he wasn't having some kind of fit. She didn't usually people watch but her phone had died and she had already read her magazine cover to cover, so there wasn't much else that she could do.

But you must be wondering by now, who is she? Well, all I can say is that her name is Zona, short for the state, her parents were 1970's hippies and had always said that it would make a brilliant name for a child and they knew as soon as she was born that it was perfect for her. So, it became her name.
