Ok y'all, first things first, this ones is the day Adam and Ty went to adopt a kid and came back with Levi. Will be a little angsty with mentions of past abuse, but I promise the fluff will overwhelm it ^.^

"I don't know about this, Adam."

Ty look up at the huge, gothic building, clutching onto Adam's hand tightly, shuffling closer to him as they stood at the entrance, apprehensively.

Adam squeezed Ty's hand reassuringly, sending an easy smile his way, as Ty gnawed on his bottom lip, suddenly afraid. They had been planning to adopt for years now, and today was the day that were finally able to take a child home.

"Ty, it's ok. After today, we're going to be parents, like we always wanted, remember? It's alright to be a little scared." Adam murmured, wrapping an arm around Ty's waist in a protective manner, drawing his husband closer to him.

Ty let out a shaky sigh, blinking owlishly at the adoption centre in front of them, the colourful welcome sign clearly hand painted by the children almost looming, feeling more and more anxious as they began to walk towards it, Adam keeping a firm grip around Ty's waist as they entered the building.

They were greeted at the reception by a woman in her early twenties, and Ty gulped as he shook her hand, nervous to say the least. The woman smiled and introduced herself as Barbra, then gestured for the two to follow her, and Adam gently tugged Ty forward by the hand, giving him an encouraging smile as they followed Barbra towards a door, painted a soft yellow colour.

"This is the rec room, where the kids can play games, relax, read, etcetera." she said as she opened the door, a surge of excited chatter immediately coming through the doors, Ty's eyes widening as he was coaxed in, walking slowly as all around him about a dozen children squealed and giggled and made little drawings, or built mighty castles and towers out of wooden blocks, or read brightly coloured books in squishy looking bean bags.

It looked... nice. It's was odd, seeing all the children look so happy, so carefree and, dare he say, normal. He knew a lot of these kids probably found themselves at the adoption centre through some tragedy or other, but he never imagined that they'd be so, happy. It was comforting to know that the kid they would adopt wouldn't be a broken shell of childhood.

Not like him.

"There are about fifteen kids at the centre at the moment, between the ages of two months to sixteen. Do you have a particular age range you were hoping for?" Barbra asked politely, beaming as one of the children, a young, red haired girl with two teeth missing from the front of her smile, ran up to her and presented the woman with a picture, blobs of paint smeared in some sort of organised chaos that was probably only fathomable to a few.

Adam caught Ty's the question potent in his eyes, Ty giving the tiniest of shrugs, the two silently communicating, before Adam turned back to the woman, smiling softly as the red headed girl toddled off back to the drawing table.

"W-well... maybe three or more years old?" he said tentatively, squeezing Ty's fingers gently, reminding him that he was there, and that it was ok.

Barbra smiled sweetly, and started chattering excitedly about how the children were all very polite and well mannered, and that they had an excellent choice range with the vague age gap they had decided upon.

Ty zoned out, his stomach twisting in tight knots. He was all of a sudden feeling so overwhelmed, so lightheaded from the reality that was slowly sinking its claws into him, making him sway a little, queasy.

They were getting a child. A child. Something they had both wanted for years, something that would make their quaint little cottage on the outskirts of he city that much more cosy, someone to love other than each other. To complete their family.
