The Music in Me (Stepan and Leif Fanfic)

A Field Trip

Justine POV
It's english class.
Polly, Leif, Sophia, and Theodore was here.
Sophia is actually the one who came last. She sat next to me and put her bag down beside her chair. I looked at her and she looked red.

"Have you been crying?" I asked
"No, no. This is nothing." She replied, wiping her teary eyes.
"Talk to me." I said, crossing my arms.
"Look, I don't want to talk about it!" She exclaimed. I pouted and she sighed.
"Fine. I'll tell you later."
I smirked and just placed the blackboard.
The door suddenly opened and everybody looked back and it was Stepan.
I turned to Sophia and she bit her lip and looked down.

"Hey, did you know just a while ago Mackenzie kissed Stepan?" Somebody whispered.
"Really? I knew they would be together!" Someone whispered back.

No.
Sophia doesn't need to explain no more.
I can see the problem now.

Stepan POV
I walked in to the room and everybody stared at me.
I can hear many whispers once I entered the room.
I looked at Sophia, she was looking down and just playing with her fingers.
I just sat down next to Leif and Theodore.

"'Sup man." Theodore greeted.
"Hey dude." I said, giving him a fist bump.
I turned around and saw Leif giving me a weird glare.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
Leif just nodded and turned away from me.
Weird. He used to be my best friend but he almost gave me a death glare.

Sir Palugo came in and we greeted him.
"Class, I just got the announcement that we will have our field trip at," he explained, looking at papers, "September 20, 2015."
Everybody suddenly began whispering to each other, talking about who their partners are.

"So, you can be by friends." Sir Palugo said
"Yes!" Everybody exclaimed.

"Justine! Justine, can you be my partner?" Sophia asked Justine suddenly, shaking her arm.
"Y-yeah... Sure." Justine shrugged.
I sighed and just placed my hand on my cheek and my elbow on my table.
"Hey, you know there's a possibility that the chairs in the bus can be up to 3." Theodore explained.
"Yeah, sure. We can be together." I replied.
"Awesome! Leif, you in?"
"Y-yeah sure." He stuttered and turned his attention to Sophia, again.
This is weird.
Why would he stare at Sophia like that?

Leif POV
I keep on staring at Sophia for the whole class.
I don't know, but it makes the spark brighter and brighter whenever I see her.
We only met for like, i don't know, 2 months?
I only know about Sophia because of Justine and Stepan.

And how dare Stepan breaks Sophia's heart.
To be honest, the spark in my heart may fix Sophia's broken heart.
I mean, it's safe to say that Justine has a crush.

I can be with Sophia.

Not because she is beautiful and all.
I want to protect her.
After Stepan broke her heart, she is vulnerable to anybody.
Especially to someone spreading rumors about Mackenzie and Stepan.
She won't take the pain.

I need to be here for her.
