Somebody Else

Nobody's around to see you grieve,

You sit there in the corner streams of tears running down your cheek,

Fear fills your heart whenever you hear her speak.

Her words shatter you so easily.

And no one understands you,

Nobody knows what you're going through.

But it's okay I know someone will see the real you.

Don't be scared it will all be over soon

She can end your world, but can't end your soul.

She can take your pride but she can't ruin what's on the inside.

Everything she does leaves you lost.

You're isolated from the world

You're lonely at times.

You imagine how it would be to be somebody else

Who got hugs and good night kisses from a mother.

Who didn't have to raise herself,

Who didn't have to pretend she's somebody else.
