(Andrea's POV)

I walked into my house from volleyball practice, throwing my backpack in it's usual place behind the door. "Mommy! I'm home!" I ran up to my room, texting Nick as I fell on tto my bed. The house was suspiciously quiet, but hey, maybe my mom wasn't home from work yet? Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. "Mommy?" I called, but instead, my dad stuck his head into my room. His face was tear stained. That's how I knew something was wrong. "Daddy? What's happening?" I frowned. He came in, and sat at the end of my bed, a soft smile on his face. "Hi baby, how was today?" "Good.... What's going on?" The panic was rising inside me, tears pricking at the back of my eyes. My dad sighed loudly, and took my hands in his. "Today, after school, your aunt was driving home..." "Okay?" I said, urging him to continue. "She, uh, got into an accident..." He said slowly. My eyes filled with tears. "Is she okay?" My dad looked down and shook his head, too upset to make eye contact with me. "She passed away during the drive to the hospital... I'm so sorry baby...." I looked at him, my whole body feeling numb. I felt the tears spilling on to my face, but I couldn't reach up to wipe them away. I was paralyzed with shock. This can't be happening. No. I just talked to her this morning. She was perfectly fine. "Baby, I'm sorry..." My dad reached forward to hug me, but I pushed him away, and ran out the door. Ran down the stairs. Past my mom who was crying at the end of the staircase. Out the front door, down the street, all the way to her house. I pounded on the door, and her boyfriend, Ray, opened the door, his face also covered in tears. I pushed past him, and ran up to her room, falling on to her bed and sobbing. No. No. She can't be gone. My fingers ran over her pillow, the tears falling even faster from my eyes. This can't be happening. This has to be a bad dream. I pinched myself several times, but didn't wake up. This was really happening. This is real life. My aunt, my best friend... She was gone...
