I heard no more from Zachary and I never saw him again. Mycroft and his men didn't even find him. It was as though he was wiped off the face of the earth...

We both left the building that night and I was a mess. Stephanie was asleep in her car seat and she was just outside the corridor as we got outside.

I picked up the car seat but he took it as I wouldn't have been able to carry it properly.

We went home and soon after, we started a fresh start, forgot anything that had happened and made sure, for Stephanie's sake, that we protected her and stuck together...

3 years later.

I held Stephanie's little hand as we both walked down the street. I had just picked her up from nursery.

We walked through the big brass gates into the park and followed the path.

We reached the small lake which Stephanie always ran to. She wanted to see the swans which swam there. We both sat on a bench and I took some bread out of my bag which I had brought along for her. She smiled happily. "Thank you Mummy!" She smiled and took the bread. "Be careful, don't stand too close to the water." I said. "Yes Mummy." She called back and she began to throw the bread into the water. The swans came over almost immediately and started to eat the bread.

Stephanie laughed as she threw her bread into the lake. I watched as her long black hair blew softly in the wind. She looked like him. A lot. She was beautiful... And her chocolate brown eyes always made me smile. She was, in no doubt, perfect.

I watched her and realised, she is all that is important to me. I will protect her with my life. She means that much to me. Just like any other mother would, I would too. Its obvious...

"Hey." I turned to see him standing there. I smiled and he sat next to me. He watched Stephanie and he smiled. "I love this. Us. It's all better again." He smiled. And it was.

"Ready to go?" He asked. I nodded. "Stephanie honey, let's go!" He called. Stephanie turned around. She smiled widely and ran to him attacking him with a massive hug. I smiled and stood up and walked beside him as Stephanie grabbed his hand tightly, telling him about her day.

We walked through another gate and into the cemetery.

He grabbed my hand tightly and we all walked through, passing gravestones as we walked by.

We finally reached his grave and I felt hurt again. I missed him. He was perfect. In everything he did he was always the best. Always.

I felt tears prick my eyes and I shut my eyes trying not to give in. Stephanie couldn't see me cry, it wasn't right.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I rested my head on him. I watched as Stephanie pulled out the rose from her backpack and placed it on the grave.

She kissed her hand and placed her hand on the top of the gravestone.

"I love you Daddy." She whispered as she knelt beside the gravestone.

I shut my eyes and sighed. He wrapped his arms tighter around me. "It's alright. I love you." He whispered. I nodded.

"I love you too Sebastian."
