Into the woods with BVB

Chapter 4

Andy ran back to the others and woke them up. By this point they were wide awake and Andy was now tired. But still he persisted.
"What happened" Ashley asked.
"I'll tell you on the way. I was given directions and the wolf said we should go down here" Andy pointed.
"WOLF?!?!" everyone exclaimed.
"Like I said, I'll tell you on the way"

They continued on their journey as the greenery got even more dense and compact. Every step was effort as it would always involve ducking under branches or clambering over rocks. Since they didn't have the right gear it was a rough place for them to be.

"Yuck! Look at all that smelly muck!" CC said falling over.
'That's not muck that's sinking sand" Jake warned. "'Be careful not to step in it"
"if that's the case then I'm climbing the trees" CC hoped up into the branches leaving the other 4 to balance their way across some logs.

"AAAAGH!!!" CC heard 4 voices shout. He looked down to see a branch broken and 4 shapes wriggling around in some mud. Disappearing underneath FAST!
"It's sinking sand!" Ashley cried. "Help us!"
CC reached out his hand but he couldn't reach. There was nothing beneath him to help him and it seemed like all hope was lost.
"I can't do anything!" CC said.
"Say the magic word!" Jinxx said, the disgusting brown gloop up to his neck. CC thought they were gonna be gone forever if he didn't move fast.
"What was the word again?"
"Fgfgfgouourrhtsssennno" Jinxx gurgled, his mouth now covered.
"What?"
"Firtisimo" Jake just managed to make it sound eligible.
Fortissimo! That was it!
"FORTISSIMO!!!" He yelled and again the strange shaking sensation happened and before him appeared 2 drum sticks.
Quickly CC grabbed them and handed them out for the others too grab hold of. Jinxx did first, gasping for air as he came out of the gunge.
"At least there's no creatures this time huh dude" but just as CC said that a pair of huge teeth lept out the sinking sand grabbing hold of the drum stick.
"It's a shark!!" Ashley said. Quickly trying to get away.
"Oh help!" said Andy.
CC struggled to get the shark off as it was pulling him down further towards the sinking sand. It was weird because why did it go for the drumstick instead of them? I'm sure they tasted nicer?
The shark was staring at CC with its clear eyes penetrating him. CC could see his scared reflection in them. It's smooth slippery skin as thick as rubber writhed and twisted, trying to bring CC down to its gloopy kingdom.
CC frantically tried to see what he could do and he saw the other stick on the side and he grabbed it and tried to hit the shark with it. Bop after bop until the shark eventually let go with its powerful jaws and turned round to swim away, it's shiny silver body looking very majestic as it disappeared beneath the depths.

After that CC then pulled the 4 out with the drumsticks which he then left behind as they got dried off.

"Wow. Just wow" Ashley said, rubbing his arms with a giant leaf (the closest thing to a towel). "I sure hope that wolf never lied".
"Yeah else he's gonna get it" Jake added.
"He sure is. Are we ready to continue? I can hear a stream where we could drink from" Andy said.
"Funny how we hear everything before we see it isn't it?"
"Well these are "musical" woods as Jinxx puts it after all" and setting off to the river they encountered their next obstacle.
