Aušra sat in her chair patiently waiting for someone to open the door behind her; it had been over two hours since Arnaud had told her and the other lords that Sigmund was his assassin. She was very concerned for Soto's well being; she was doing a good job hiding it. She knew that Sigmund was possibly the most elite human warrior in the world, capable of killing any monster.
She knew that Soto was nowhere near Sigmund's level of skill or experience, and she was afraid that she would have to face the worst possible case result. She was disgusted by the thought of possibly have to consort with one of these men, but she gave her word to them.
Finally they heard the door open behind them, and the sound of footsteps came into the room. Aušra closed her eyes, expected that Soto's severed head would land on the table.
"Fuck all of you selfish assholes," an enraged voice said from behind them. "Next time you gamble, bet your own worthless lives."
Aušra quickly opened her eyes in excitement, she knew the owner of that voice. She jumped out of her chair, and was face to face with a very angry, wounded, but alive Soto. Saras, Kirzaki, Ameth, and Scacanna stood behind him, looking relieved as they smiled at her. Aušra beamed at them with a smirk of pure joy.
All the male vampire lords were stunned and displeased to see him, the two vampire mistresses did not appear to care. Rasputin jumped up and flipped the table in fury, and the royal knights jumped aside to avoid the huge table before it smashed into the double doors.
"How the hell are you still alive!?" Rasputin roared in enraged disapproval.
"I fought my ass off to survive, and no thanks to you prick," Soto growled.
"What was that you little bastard!" Rasputin roared as he advanced on Soto. "I'll kill you myself!"
Before he could do as he stated Aušra retrieved a remote from her sash. She pressed a button on it, and the curtains around them retracted into the ceiling. There were no walls around them, but instead was what appeared to be a giant conference room filled with people sitting all around them. The vampire lords jumped in shock, looking horrified as Aušra smirked evilly.
Rasputin lowered his arms looking livid, which had been stretched out to grab Soto around neck moments before. Soto glared back at him as he stepped back to his chair, however remained standing.
"You all bit the bait," Aušra with a grin. "Caught in the middle of winter, with your pants down."
"You certainly had correct suspicions, my Lady," Fredrick Wolfgang said with a smile from his seat among the conformance around them. "And now around two hundred world leaders of the night community have witnessed the pureblood vampire's attempt to clearly blackmail their own Queen."
"Mon dieu...," Gilles said slowly still in a state of shock.
"Did you all really think that I suspected nothing?" Aušra demanded of the vampire lords. "I knew you all were up to no good, so I set this little trap for you. Think of it as a gift of appreciation towards your conspiracy."
Inna and Tanyique both looked obscenely pleased at the looks of horrified shock on the faces of the vampire lords.
"Queen Aušra was most certainre right of you ruot!" piped up an angry Japanese leader, who appeared to look very human with a bowl on his head. "You shourud aru be ashamed of yourseruves!"
"Zis cannot be...," Arnaud said with his hands grabbing as forehead. "Zhere should have been no vay that Sigmund vould have lost."
"That's because that fight never was concluded," Soto said darkly.
