Chapter Thirteen: Catastrophe

Aušra wore a shocked expression on her face; everyone else looked stunned to hear this as well.

"Give me the details!" Aušra demanded.

"A Nue, a Sasori, three Kitsune, a Yuki-Onna, and two hellhounds are attempting to destroy the high pressure cooling system!" The Black Hawk hastily explained over the phone. "We are currently holding them off, but I'm not sure how long! If they even make one hole in the coolant pipe, the water inside will vaporize! This will lead to a nuclear meltdown, and trigger the warheads!"

"I'll head there immediately with back up!" Aušra responded. "Where is the site!?"

"Use the GPS on the phone to locate mine!" The Black Hawk yelled over an explosion on his end. "It will lead you there!"

Aušra pressed a button on the phone and saw the direction she needed to go.

"Anyone whom is able to fly, grab someone that can't and follow me!" Aušra commanded as her demonic bat wings erupted from her shoulder blades.

Lord Zen and all the vampire soldiers sprouted their own wings. Saras sprouted a pair of draconic wings, and Raoul sprouted two pairs of massive dragon fly wings. Dedrick still sitting on Ivan's shoulders gripped his shoulders with demonic looking hand tipped with black claws, huge demonic bat wings sprouted from Dedrick's shoulders.

Aušra extended her hands towards Soto's katanas; they flew into her hands on her command.

"Teszuly and Laiyithe, come and stand in front of me!" Aušra instructed.

"Yes my lady!" the two of them announced.

They tried to run over, while pushing at each other.

"Stop wasting time, it is of the essence here!" Aušra barked.

"Sorry, my lady!" they said as they properly ran over.

Aušra wrapped her arms around the two of them, while delicately holding the katanas. Ivan grabbed Riiver and Ameth in his arms, Saras grabbed Kirzaki and Tanyique in hers. Raoul grabbed Inna and tried to grab Scacanna who leapt away.

"Not you!" Scacanna yelled as though he had shocked her.

Raoul pouted looked sad.

"You don't 'ave ze luxury of deciding 'ow carries you," Raoul said sulkily.

"Anyone but you!" Scacanna hissed.

"Then ride on my back!" Aušra yelled urgently.

"Yes, my lady!" Scacanna announced running over to Aušra, and grabbed her shoulders.

"Hang on tight!" Aušra yelled. "We must fly at god's speed!"

Without a warning, Aušra shot into the air like a rocket unfazed by the weight of three people on her. Laiyithe, Teszuly, and Scacanna would have screamed, but they were going so fast no sound was coming from their mouths. Dedrick, Saras, Raoul, Lord Zen whom was holding Fredrick and the vampires carrying a werewolf each followed Aušra into the air.

Aušra soared out of the cooling tower straight overhead; she then hovered for a moment to spot the location she needed to go. She spotted the reactor site, where she could see gun fire. She then dive bombed from the sky towards the reactor building, the velocity of the wind tore at their faces and hair as Aušra dove at a sharp angle.

They were free falling from the sky, the three women with Aušra silently screamed. Everyone else was closely following Aušra' lead.

"WHOO! Kamikaze!" Kirzaki screamed with excitement.
