Chapter Fourteen: Aftermath

Aušra walked out of the main entrance carrying Soto's katanas, where she was greeted by her royal knights and other subjects. Twilight from the eastern horizon made it glow, casting dim light on the land. A fleet of evidence cover agents were busy cleaning up the little remains of corpses; they had saluted her when she emerged from the building.

"Oh, thank god you're fine, Lady Aušra!" Scacanna said as she came running up to Aušra. "What happened in the reactor room?!"

"Yeah, you did something," Tanyique said looking impressed. "According to the radiologists, there is no sign of any kind of radiation."

"I used the demonic command seals to contain it," Aušra said with a smirk. "I then absorbed it into my vampirism magic."

"Our Queen is so brutal, she even murdered the radiation!" Riiver said hoarsely, he then reached into his pocket and retrieved his notebook and pen. "That's a good title for a song..."

"I know! We have the best boss ever!" Kirzaki yelled excitedly pumping his arms into the air. "I LOVE MY JOB!"

"I've known Aušra for a long time, and she just becomes more badass as the years go by!" Saras said happily who was still completely nude, she then added in a frustrated tone as she rustled her hair with her hands. "I still can't believe that I let that jet get away! I destroyed my favorite clothing for nothing! Graaah, it pisses me off so bad!"

"Would it make you feel better if I said you look very charming without clothing, mademoiselle?" Raoul said grabbing one of Saras's hands and delicately kissing it.

"Stop that!" Scacanna hissed at Raoul.

Scacanna chased Raoul away from Saras, whom looked very pleased as she flushed red in the face.

"You are a charmer," Saras said sounding pleased as she posed seductively. "You know, I do have spare time tonight."

"Quit encouraging him!" Scacanna roared at Saras in indignation.

"I agree," Aušra said with an amused smirk. "There are some things I don't want to hear from exhibitionists."

"I mean no offence by say this, but that's pretty ironic coming from you," Dedrick said happily from Ivan's shoulder.

Ivan smiled, and Aušra laughed out loud clutching her gut. Lord Zen walked over and removed his long coat; he placed it around Aušra's shoulders. She looked up at him; Lord Zen gave her a small smile on his pale lips.

"Thank you, Lady Aušra," he said smoothly. "For everything you've done for me, and my family."

Aušra smirked at him kindly; she gave Lord Zen the katanas she was holding onto.

"The pleasure was mine," Aušra said sweetly. "Your son maybe a vulgar and rude asshole, but he has a big heart. He is unaware of it though..."

"So true," he agreed with a chuckle, as Scacanna chased Saras, Kirzaki, and Raoul in the background. "He has much to learn, but he's taken the first real step."

"How is he by the way?" Aušra inquired sounding slightly concerned. "I do apologize for beating the living hell out of him."

"He is fine, he is currently getting medical attention," Lord Zen said casually. "He was transported back to the U.S. military base."

"Put something on for Lady Aušra's sake!" Scacanna yelled in exasperation at Saras, whom was running from her.

"No! I don't want to wear anything but the clothing I was wearing earlier!" Saras called over her shoulder mischievously.
