I Found You

They stayed quiet until they reached their destination. Ema hopped off and Apollo set the bike against a wooden fence. It had to be way passed midnight, and Ema's eyes were getting droopier every hour.

"Well, this is it," Apollo placed his hands on his hips.

"What exactly is it?" Ema looked around and saw nothing but dirt and bushes.

Apollo pointed up towards the sky, and Ema gasped.

Millions of stars were looking down on them, and translucent clouds painted streaks over them. The moon shone brightly, and it was if the stars were being sucked into its mass.

"This is what I think of when I hear 'Ema Skye.' I immediately imagine your beauty like this night sky." Apollo was panting from all the cycling he did.

Ema's eyes began to tear. She couldn't hold it anymore. It felt so right but, it couldn't be more wrong. She could only imagine what her mother would say.

"Apollo...I-" He had suddenly disappeared.

"I'm down here!" He yelled loudly, although he was laying down right next to her.

"Oh silly, you're gonna get your uniform dirty," Ema joined him anyway.

Apollo held her hand, and his other was supporting his head. Ema held it tightly, and the tears were still running down her face.

"I've been waiting for this moment after all these months." He said.

"Why'd you wait until now?" Ema asked.

He squeezed her hand, "I was scared. I didn't want to face rejection again."

Ema's eyes widened, and she almost choked. "I didn't know it meant that much to you. And who would've thought you got rejected," she chuckled.

"It hurts like any other mental pain, except sometimes you see it coming, and you've gone so far that you just couldn't stop." he stated.

Ema's heart began to hurt and felt like it was crushing against her chambers.
