I sat in front of the window watching the rain.
Tonight would be the best night to do this. Nobody else is out. I thought to myself
I didn't know what put the original thought to steal from a store but I was gonna go out with it. No matter what happened.
My family needed this money. Sure, it could ruin my future if the officials found out but it would help my family's future.
My brother passed me and noticed the distant look on my face. "Hey Soph, you look like you're thinking about stealing something."
"Hehe, good one. You know me. I could never steal something, though"
"I was just joking, but if I didn't know better I would think you are actually thinking about it."
I just looked at him at that point. I had no idea what to tell him. I couldn't lie to extreme with him. He could see me through all my lies. I decided to tell him I was going to bed.
"Night, Harry. Night Mum. Night Dad." I walked to my room.
I sat down on my bed and looked at my wall.
I started thinking about my plan and how bad it could
How can I have second thoughts NOW. I thought to myself holding my head in my hands.
It felt so wrong but I had to do it.
I fought my self conscious and started to gather my supplies; a bag and a flashlight.
I also found some black clothes and put them on.
The next step was waiting for everyone to go to bed.
Because it was going to take a while, I got in bed and covered up. I made sure I didn't let my eyelids get heavy and looked at the clock several times.
After what seemed an excruciating long time, I heard my brother go to bed followed by my mum and dad.
I carefully got out of bed and quietly opened my door.
After checking if the coast was clear I tiptoed through the hall to the door.
When the front door squeaked, I winced, afraid of waking someone up.
Luckily, everyone was sleeping and the squeak wasn't loud enough to wake them up.
I got outside and immediately felt a breeze of cool air. The rain dropped on my hair and soaked it.
On the way to the city, I passed a mirror and saw reflection.
I look like a wet cat. I thought to myself.
I was close to the city until I passed by a strange tall figure.
It was moving swiftly and my curiosity convinced me to follow it.
It went into the woods and naturally I debated whether or not to follow it there.
Eventually, I decided to follow it.
