Chapter 3: Meeting the Wolves

A/N Hey Duckies. There was a few spelling mistakes in the last one. It was my autocorrect. Sorryyyyyy! Anyway, on with the story!

This had to be a joke. There was no way that this was true. I just got told my Uncle was a werewolf. To make it worse I also go told that vampires live here as well. Yay!

"How? How does this work?" Sophie was trying to make sense of all this. I could tell by the small frown on her head and the way she was chewing her gums. We all do that when concentrating, me, my brother and my sister.

"Your grandpa was a werewolf but your grandma wasn't. I got the wolf gene, your mum didn't. I am also the leader of the pack. The alpha. I am in charge of all the wolfs in my pack. They live at the pack house in the woods. When my son is old enough I shall pass alpha duties onto him."

"Wait. You have a son?" I never knew I had a cousin.

"Yes. His name is Liam. He is 2." I never even knew he had a partner let alone a son.

"What about the vampires?" Sophie has always been scared of lots. Inside, she is probably screaming her head off.

"They promised not to harm anyone in our territory. They also said they only drink from animals. I do not trust them though."he frowned at the end. I was being surprisingly calm about this. Normally I would have freaked out but not now. I don't know why I was being so calm. I just didn't feel threatened.

"We'll then. There is nothing to worry about." Sophie had raised an eyebrow. She has always been mature for her age.

"Not for the moment no." What did he mean 'for the moment'!?

Mum and Dad got a phone call from Tommy. He wanted their opinion on some flats. Uncle Joey said we could go to the pack house with him. Saying I was nervous is an understatement! It took all the control I had over myself to stop my body shaking. Sophie seemed calm. She had probably had 7 mental breakdowns already in her head.

We drove back to that massive house I saw this morning. Sophie jumped onto Uncle Joeys back and I stood beside him. He looked a lot like Tommy except he was bigger and more muscular.

We walked inside to a huge sitting room. The floors were a dark oak and the walls red. A fireplace was in the middle and red sofas surrounded it. A huge dining table was at the back.

"This is the Alpha section. I live here with my family and my closest friends family's." Uncle Joey was explaining. A few people were sitting on the sofas.

"Olivia,Sophie. Meet some of the pack. Guys, these are my nieces Olivia and Sophie."

A girl came up to us along with that Josh guy I met before. They looked alike. The girl had brown wavy hair down to her waist and a huge grin. She had tanned skin compared to my almost white skin. The boy had shorter brown hair,in a sort of quiff. His skin was the same and they both had green eyes.

"Hi! I'm Phoebe and this is my twin, Josh." She said giving me a hug. Josh did too.

I realised Uncle Joey had carried Sophie over to meet some adults so I was left with Josh and Phoebe. They took me over to the sofa to meet more people out age.

"This is Jessica,Kyle,Carly,Georgia and Michael, my mate!" She said,beaming.

"Erm...what's a mate?" I was new to this werewolf stuff and had no clue what they were talking about.

"A soulmate. The person you were meant for. All werewolves have one. You cannot live without them. It's your other half, your world." Phoebe explained, gazing dreamily at Michael. I noticed Jessica and Kyle looked at each other in the same way.

"So who else has a mate here then?" I just wanted to be sure who was with who.

"Jess and Kyle are mates, so are Josh and Georgia." Carly explained this time.

"What about you? Who is your mate?"

"I don't have mine yet. I'll find him soon though" I nodded,dropping the subject.

I looked around to see where Sophie was. She seemed to have found some friends too. 3 boys and a girl. They were all sitting, chatting like they had known each other their whole life. Uncle Joey was nowhere to be seen.

I stayed with my new friends. I was sitting in the middle of Josh and Phoebe, the others going round the sofas. We basically just asked each other questions. Turns out Josh hates tomatoes, Jessica owns 53 pairs of gloves,Carly is going to Oxford University too to study Politics, Mike has an obsession with jelly,Kyle has 2 pet squirrels, Phoebe was born dead and Georgia is a gymnast like me! We started chatting about coaches and teams whilst the others started talking amongst themselves.

"Olivia! Sophie! Come here a second!" It was Uncle Joeys voice. I had kinda forgotten about him to be honest. I excused myself from my friends and left to follow Uncle Joeys voice. Sophie followed.

My Uncle was in his office I think. A woman was with him. She had a sky blue dress on going to her knees. She had black hair in ringlets and a beautiful face. She was holding a toddler. He had the biggest,brightest, green eyes I have ever seen. He had brown curls sprouting from his head and he stared right at me.

"Soph,Liv. Meet your Auntie Vivienne and cousin Liam." Liam stared at me with open arms. I took him from his grinning mother and bounced him on my hip, causing him to giggle.

"Please girls, call me Vivs."

"Auntie Vivs."Sophie corrected,hugging her. I gave her a side hug because of Liam. He was so cute! We started on a family chat, about Tommy and my parents, kind of forgetting they were all werewolves.

Mystery P.O.V

Andrew just had another vision. Ever since we moved here he keeps having them. We made a deal with the werewolf Alpha Joey. We promised to not harm anyone on his territory and to only feed off animals. We will stand by out word.

Our family are different from our kind. We do not kill innocent people ever. Our leader, Simon, gathered us when the vampire counsel changed us. They changed us to replace fallen counsel members but we were frightened. Simon found us and taught us how to control our powers and how to make the most of our life.

First he took in his wife, Ella. Then Andrew, Me and Sarah together. Clyde is the newest member of out group. His sister Roxie was killed when changed. She didn't make it.

We do try and stay clean but we do not like company. We tend to stick to ourselves. Yes we have gotten in a few fights and are known as the tough group in school but we would never intentionally kill an innocent soul.

But Andrew has had another vision. He keeps seeing a girl,a beautiful one at that, in danger. That's all. A girl in danger. It is worrying Simon. Andrew sees the future but never have his visions been as intense as this.

I want to meet this girl. I've never met her but I instantly feel connected to her. Like I'm meant to find her. Actually, that's what I'll do. I'll find the girl I'm danger!

A/N this is a bit of a filler. Just needed to establish who all the werewolves were and who most of the vampires were. The next chapter isn't much but the one after that is quite exiting! See you then my little Duckies!
