Chapter 1: Moving in.

Today was moving in day. Yay! Note the sarcasm. I sealed the last box together with sticky tape and added it to the pile. Taking a quick glance round my almost empty room I let out a small sigh. All my furniture was dismantled and loaded onto the removal truck and only a few boxes remained.

My black and white walls were bare and my cream carpet had pressure marks from where my furniture had previously been. The only things left were three boxes I had yet to take to the removal van. That is exactly what I felt that van was doing, removing us from our amazing London flat and life's. My parents are extremely wealthy and me and my siblings are not spoiled, but we get lots of new things.

I sighed, picking up the three remaining boxes and padded over to my door. Taking one last look around my bedroom I shut the door, turning to the hall.

Across the hall I saw Sophie picking up a box from Tommy's room. He was in a shower and Sophie, being as sweet as she is, decided to help him bring out his stuff to the van.

I decided to see what the rest of my family was up to. I headed down the stairs and into the living room. All our stuff was out of there apart from the glass coffee table. My mum was in there watching the removal men try and slide it out the door. No one noticed me as I slid by.

I peered into the bathroom and found my dad taking the shower curtain off the rail. We have had that since Sophie was born. It was a colourless sheet with little yellow ducks bobbing along the bottom. Again he didn't notice as I walked past.

My finger were getting a bit sore from holding the boxes so I set them down in the hall. I continued up the hall so I could visit my favourite room one last time. Our family room.

I pushed the door open and stepped inside. This room had so many memories. Sophie's first steps, Tommy getting into Oxford along with smaller thing like mine and Tommy's little shows. I would sit and play piano whilst Tommy would play his violin. I could still see the marks where my black, grand piano had been placed. It was in the removal van along with all my other belongings. But my memories were all in this house and I must say I was very sad to see them go.

"OLVIAAAAAAAAA!!!" I heard Tommy and Soph call out in unison.

I turned round and closed the door, picking up the boxes I had set down earlier. Heading back down the hall I saw my mum and sister hopping into the van. That left myself, my dad and my brother to be in the car. My dad was standing at the door with a look of pity on his face. None of us wanted to leave but it was for the best.

"Give me those." Tommy took the boxes out of my hands and headed for the car. The trunk was open and a few bags were already inside. He placed my boxes in before hopping into the Range Rover.

My daddy's strong arm was draped round my shoulder as he held me to the car. I hopped in and dad went to the front to drive. It was around 9 in the morning now and we were in for a long drive. 5 hours to be exact. I slid over to Tommy and he slid his arm round my shoulders. I have never been a morning person and I could already feel my eyelids start to drop. Before I knew it I was fast asleep.

Few hours later....

I woke up to a large bump. Looking around I could tell we were nowhere near London any more. I wriggled out of my brothers hold to get a better look out the window.

Grass. That's what I could see. Grass. And lots of it. I realised that we couldn't have been on a normal road. This was way too bumpy. We appeared to be on a country lane or something. Surrounded with grass and the occasional tree.

"Almost there Olivia. Almost home." Dad looked at me through the mirror and smiled. It wasn't a happy smile. More a 'you see an old woman in the streets and you smile at her to be nice' smile.

No longer than 5 minutes after I woke up, I saw some trees in the distance. It looked like a forest. They started in a field and continued up a hill, disappearing into the distance. Everything disappeared into the distance here. It was so open and peaceful. I already like the atmosphere.

I continued to look out the window for the rest of the journey. Tommy and dad were talking about an operation dad had to do, something about removing someone's appendix I think. I want really interested. I don't like blood or gore much. I'm a bit of a girly girl. Dad was right though. We were almost home. Within 15 minutes of waking up I saw a house in the distance.

The house seemed massive. It had 2 floors but a kind of tower created a 3rd floor type thing. The walls were a light blue with white outlining the windows. It had a plain white front door and a massive garden. Dad said we owned a few of the fields around here and that nobody would mind if we went walks in the other fields. There was some flowers in the front garden, mainly yellow and red tulips, with a stone path leading from the front door to the white gate surrounding the front garden. A removal truck was already parked outside and I saw mum telling the removal men where to put what boxes. Our main furniture was moved in last week.

Dad parked the car and I took my three boxes from the boot. Tommy and Sophie were looking for the best room. I don't care, all the rooms in this house were huge.

I headed into the house and straight up the stairs on my right. I saw Sophie in the room next to the stairs and Tommy three along. I headed for the door at the end of the hall. It lead to a small wooden staircase. I followed the stairs to find the tower room. The wall with a window on it was curved but the others were straight. There was a door that lead to an on suit bathroom which was massive. The floor was wooden and the walls white. The view from my window showed the front garden and some fields going off into the distance.

I placed my boxes down and decided to tell the removal men that this was my room. I could also maybe help bring more boxes up.

As I headed down the stairs I saw a family photo of us taken 2 years ago. My dad is in the top left corner. His blond hair is cut short and his sky blue eyes sparkle like the night sky. His glasses are perched on his nose and he is wearing a blue shirt with a white undershirt. His arm is round my mum who is in the top right. Her light brown hair flows nicely to just below her shoulders. She has a thin fringe and her eyes are brown. Her glasses were pushed further up her nose and she was wearing a plain white top with a lemon cardigan. Below her and in the bottom right is Tommy. His brown hair is styled into a bed head look but it looks nice. He had sparkling green eyes and is wearing a plain blue top. When he smiles he has the cutest dimples ever. Below dad and in the bottom left is Sophie. She has her brown hair in bunches and her big brown eyes are adorable. Her teeth next to her two front ones had fallen out so she has a nice toothy smile. Her cheeks are covered in freckles and she has on a navy GAP hoodie. In the middle of Tommy and Soph is me. I have long blond hair reaching mid back. I have my dads blue eyes and I have the same freckles as my sister. I also have my brothers dimples. My side fringe is pinned back with a sparkly slide and I have the biggest smile I have seen in a long time.

I miss that. I have a feeling our family will change from us living here. I don't know how but I just feel like something is going to happen and I don't like it.
