Waking up, I noticed that the bed was empty. Fear ran through me as I frantically hoped out of the bed.

I walked down the hallway, but stopped when I heard soft singing coming from one of the rooms.

The door was ajar, so I slowly and quietly opened it.

Autumn was sitting in the big, blue rocking chair. He was singing to our son, Millicent.

Do not ask me why that is his name, but it is not that bad.

He has Autumn's auburn hair and my green eyes. He also had freckles everywhere just like Autumn. He was really tiny, also.

Every morning, Autumn would wake up and check on him. When I say early, I mean at least around six a.m.

Autumn was a gentle person. He was also a caring parent and I loved that about him.

Autumn was fired from his job the day before his water broke. I'm glad that he didn't go in labor at work, because no one knew he was pregnant. He didn't really show, which scared me.

It hurt to know that Autumn was in so much pain and he was upset about losing his job.

I was going to be there for him though. My job paid extremely well. I could support us and still have a lot to save and spend.

I paid for Autumn's online classes. He decided to pick up where he left off online, so that he wouldn't have to leave Millicent with anyone.

He's been going to school since Millicent was born, which would now be five months.

It's funny how we both had went through struggles as children, but here we are supporting our own child.

I was happy. Everything was turning out okay for us. I hope we can do even better with our lives in the future.
