Me and Jason were sitting on the couch watching some random TV show in our PJ's. Today was our last day in Paradise, and I really didn't want it to end. The show finished, making Jason sigh.
"So what do you want to do then?" He asked, bored.
"I have no idea." I replied shrugging. "What is there to do?"
"Beach, walks, shopping.." Jason trailed; all things that we've already done.
"What different is there to do? We've done pretty much everything, and I don't want to be sitting around lazily on our last day of our vacation." I stated.
"There's loads of water activities. We could go to the beach?" He asked cutely. A small grin curved onto his lips.
"How can you resist that face?" I joked.
After my usual boring morning routine, I slipped on my bikini and beach outfit, without applying makeup and just throwing my hair into a messy bun. After putting on sunscreen and shoving the bottle into my bag along with other necessities, I jogged downstairs. Jason was already waiting for me, sipping on some Orange Juice. He turned around and shot me a heart warming smile.
"Ready?" He asked, placing the cup into the sink. I nodded my head in response and met him at the front door where he took my bag from my shoulders. "I got it." He said as I tried to retreive the item.
We arrived at the beach and found a decent place to park the car. My feet sunk into the golden sands as we walked to the small hut.
'Scuba Water Sports'
A small sign read, along with a picture of parasailing, jet-skis and many other water sports. For a few minutes, me and Jason looked at the different activites on the board.
"Jet-ski's definately, parasailing definately, sofa definately.." Jason trailed. "Banana Boat- In fact, lets just do everything." He chirped, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the hut where a middle aged man waited.
"Hi, would you like to do any water activities?" He asked politely.
"Can we do everything apart from Scuba Diving?" Jason asked politely. The man's eyes widened a little.
"Of course." He trailed off, grabbing his calculator from the side. "That'll be one-hundred and fifty four dollars please." He asked. Jason nodded and quickly handed him the cash. He thanked us and directed us to our first activity, parasailing. I gulped as I watched how far the people were lifted into the air, and just how far out at sea they went before landing. It was morning and there wasn't many people here. Despite how crowded the beach was, only a few people were parasailing or doing any water sports today. One of the safety instructors gently grabbed my hand and pulled me over. I stepped into the harness and watched as he strapped me in safely.
"Okay, both of you need to keep hold of these." He said, placing them into mine and Jason's hands. "At all times." I nodded, understanding. "So, you have to run to the end of the beach and then you will be lifted." We nodded, and waited for the speed boat to give us the ok.
I let out a huge sigh of relief as I felt my feet hit the sand. That was the scariest thing I've ever done. I unclipped my harness and walked back over to our guide.
"Did you enjoy it Miss?" He asked with a smile.
"That was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life." I breathed.
"That was great." Jason butted in.
"I'm glad one of you liked it. Miss, you're perfectly safe and harnessed in whilst you're up there. There's no way that you can possibly fall." The guy reassured me. I nodded my head, playing with my fingers. "Jet ski's now?" He asked. A small smile crept up onto my face. This is my favourite.
After a few hours, the only thing left to do was the snorkeling above the reef. I didn't even realise there was a reef just off the coast here. Our tour guide, who's name I recently found out was Bob, helped us onto the medium sized boat full of people who were also coming to the reef. Me and Jason sat in a comfortable silence during the short five minute ride to the reef. Bob explained where we could and could not go regarding our safety. There were some predators in the water, but that's only when you swim too far away.
"Jason, Ariana. You first." He said, nodding for us to get in the sea. We did as we were told and fitted our goggles properly. I took a quick glance below me and saw nothing but coral reefs and thousands of fish circling the water below me. They were all species of fish, and I was in complete awe. "You have fifteen minutes!" I heard Bob yell from the surface, allowing people to see the beautful sights of the reef.
Tried to make it a kind of cute chapter.
