A simple character study. Enjoy!
Canary Johanna Zavana was an interesting girl.
True to her name, she quite enjoyed nature. She was superb at climbing trees, and resided in one most of the time. There she would write, or sing, or draw, or even play her guitar if she was feeling adventurous enough to carry it up with her. Though sometimes she was content in just watching, her thoughts wandering or completely silent. She always made sure her backyard was beautiful, and took pride in that.
On rainy days she'd sit in her window seat and read, and sometimes she'd just watch the rain pour down. If it was thundering and lightening she'd open the window and lay down in her seat, watching the sky's chaos and hearing the sounds unobstructed. Sometimes she would close the windows, pull her blanket tighter around her and take a nap.
The summer sometimes found her laying in her hammock, relaxing. Sometimes she could be found with Sparrow, her best friend. They'd lay together and talk about everything and nothing, and somehow they always found themselves talking about their names. Canary said they were meant to be since they were each named as they were. Sparrow couldn't say he disagreed.
In winter her and Sparrow would make blanket nests galore and huddle close together, a mug of hot chocolate in each of their hands. They'd watch movies and come up with stories, only to write them down and store them away for another day.
It was a good little routine, those two had. And they wouldn't change it for the world.
