Her Life (sequel to His Sister)

To Edinburgh

It was early and I wasn't looking forward to traveling with my family. We were driving which would take forever. I texted Taylor:

H: you up?
T:unfortunately.
H: Not ready to go on a long ride.
T: well at least I get to see you afterward :*
H: that's the upside of all of this <3
T: well I'm leaving text you soon. xx
H: alright. see ya xx

I plopped down in the seat of our car and covered myself with a blanket to try and go to sleep. But Colton cuddled up next to me and wrapped his arms around me.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked.
"I going to sleep with my favourite sister." He said and shut his eyes.
"Get off!" I nudged but he didn't move.
"Mum!" I yelled.
"Colton let your sister sleep." She said and Colton took his arm off of me, but still rested him head on my shoulder. At this point I didn't care and went to sleep.

Four hours later, We stopped to stretch and get something to eat. I got out of the car and Uncle Smith and Trott were getting out.

"oh great." I muttered into my pillow.

"What year is it?!" Colton said stretching as he woke up.
"You're an idiot." I said.
"Why are you so grumpy?"
"I don't know. Just leave me alone."
"Well then tell that to the two uncles approaching the vehicle with evil smiles." Colton said pointing and Smith and Trott.

I groaned and buried my face in my hands.
"Come on, kiddo. Why so salty?" Uncle Smith asked.
"I'm not salty."
"Alright, but at least go see Taylor." Uncle Trott winked.
"Taylor is here?!" I said getting out of the car. I looked around and there he was stood in the parking lot with his hands in his pockets. I walked up to him and hugged him.
"Hey you." Taylor smiled.
"Hey, some ride." He said.
"Yeah." I said.
"You slept did you?" He laughed.
"Yeah." I chuckled.
"Well let's go get some food." He said walking.
I followed as we walked into a restaurant.
All of us sat at a huge table and had our breakfast and soon after we were on the road again. But for the 2 hours we had left I stayed a wake and looked out the window and admired the sights. Scotland was so pretty. Colton was playing Pokémon on his 3DS.
"Charizard, I choose you!" He shouted.
"Charlizard." I said.
"what?"
"Charlizard."
"It's Charizard." He corrected me.
"He's right, love." Mum said.
"It's Charlizard. From the YogPod? I'm not completely hopeless." I said. Dad just looked in the rearview mirror and smiled. Mum grabbed his free hand and smiled at him.

Sometimes I really hope I have a relationship like Mum and Dad's. They have been through everything and were friends before hand. Even though mum was unemployed at first, Dad got her a job and had a baby. And Uncle Alex was supportive through all of it. After 15 years of marriage they are still the same kids that fell in love.
