AUTHOR'S NOTE:

I'm sorry it took me weeks to write the 4. Chapter.

"Zayn where were you!?" My mother almost shouted, when she heard me closing the door behind me. "I was..." I mumbled and then I stopped, because I knew when my mother usually asked a question like that she already knew the answer. I had learned that when my mother asked a question with a serious tone in her voice, it meant that she merely wanted to see if I was lying.

"I was hanging out with some new friends," I said honestly, because my mother was trying to read my face expression, which she was very good at.  "Go to your room," she said very determined.

When I opened the door to my room I saw Louise staring out of my window. She didn't turn around to see who entered the room, probably because she already knew whom it was.

"Louise what are you doing here," I asked surprised, but she didn't reply. I walked slowly towards Louise and tried to catch a glimpse of her face expression, but she didn't turn around to face me.  There was an awkward silence between us until I heard her sniffing.

"What's wrong," I asked, when I finally saw her face. Her eyes were red and puffy from having cried. I felt terrible, because I had the feeling that this was about me.

"How could you lie? How could you lie to me, Zayn?" She said tears bursting from her like a waterfall and continued; "I made a fool out of myself, when I came to welcome your father back, and then figuring out that your father would be back next week, and not TODAY!"

I had never seen Louise so sad and embarrassed. The worst part was; I didn't know if I should apologize or hug her, so I instead I stayed quiet.

The thing about Louise was; even though she was hurt or crying she would keep a conversation going. I couldn't think straight since she wouldn't give me the time to think.

"Seriously Zayn, where were you?" She repeated three times knowing I was annoyed every time she did so. Louise knew everything about me; my family, dreams and everything I intended to do, but I knew nothing about her. And every time I asked her, she shut me out.

"Why? I don't have to tell you everything I do, Louise!" I shouted and continued in a furious tone; "I mean you barely tell me anything, so why should I tell you?" We were staring deeply into eachothers eyes. She took her gaze off me, and I felt like she wanted to punch me in the face. Still furious, I tried to calm down.

I remembered my father used to tell me I was a lion, and that if you kept on poking me I would eventually bite you. Louise was definitely not one I wanted to bite. I didn't want to lose her.

Taking a deep breath I said; "If you must know..."

"I don't!" She interrupted me. Taking her dark blue jacket from my bed where she had tossed it, she went down the stairs. I hurried after her.

She passed my mother and sisters, who were watching TV in the living room. Her head bent, so they couldn't see she had been crying. Still they all stared at her as she slammed the door shut as she exited. My mother and sisters, who were sitting on the couch, all turned their faces to me with confused expressions.

"She did not say goodbye?" My youngest sister Safaa stated confused.

"Safaa that means Zayn really pissed her off," my middle sister Waliyha said with a know-it-all expression. I was waiting for my mother's clever statements or thorough questions, but she stayed quiet and told my sisters to do their homework.

"Girls!" I murmured as I shook my head in wonder and went back to my room.

I was on my way to school, and I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind. Being both tired and exhausted from the lack of sleep - I had kept thinking about Louise and W.O.Y the entire night.
