Dan's POV
-
Beep, beep, beep.

I groan loudly, hearing my alarm go off. I slam the snooze button and fall back to sleep almost immediately.

"Dan! Get out of bed!" I hear Phil exclaim only about three minutes later.
I open my eyes a little bit and check the clock.

2:30am.

"Phil? What are you doing here at 2:30am? And why are you trying to wake me up?" I ask.
"We're going to Canada today, you stupid ass," Phil answers.
"It's too early for insults, Phil," I say sarcastically.
"Even at 2:30am, Dan Howell doesn't fail to be the sarcastic twat he truly is inside," Phil announces to no one in particular.
"Whatever," I scoff.
"Well, get out of bed and get changed! We're leaving in 15 minutes!" Phil exclaims.
"Get out of my room, then," I tell him.
"Awe, I'd rather stay," Phil complains.
"Stay if you want, perv. Just try not to get turned on," I reply.

I roll out of bed, and walk over to my closet. I pull out a clean pair of boxers, black sweatpants, and a plain black jumper. I change into my clean clothes and look over at Phil, sitting innocently on my bed.
"You're such a perv," I tell him.
"And you're my boyfriend," he says standing up, pecking my nose and then giggling. Phil grabs my hand and pulls me out of my room.
"Phil, I need to brush my teeth," I tell him when he walks past the bathroom.
"Okay, I'll wait downstairs for you. The rest of them are in the car already," Phil tells me.
"Okay, see you in a few," I say, walking into the bathroom.

I brush my teeth quickly, run down the stairs and put my shoes on. Just as I put my hand on the doorknob, Phil puts his arms around my waist and rests his chin on my shoulder.
"Excited?" He asks.
"Of course I am," I reply, turning around to face him, his arms still around my waist. I plant a soft kiss on his lips and whisper, "let's go."

-on the plane-

"Dan, honey. Can you check your ticket and tell me what your seat is?" My mum asks.
"Seat A, row 25," I tell her.
"Okay, you have a window seat. Go sit down," she tells me.
I head over to my seat and plop down, hoping whoever is sitting beside me isn't a stranger.

"Hey," I hear someone softly whisper into my ear.
I turn to face who it is, and see that it's Phil.
"You got the seat next to me?" I ask.
"You got a problem?" He asks sarcastically.
"Nope. It's great that you're not a stranger," I reply.
"It's great you're not a stranger," he says.
"I love you," I say, pecking him on the lips.
"Where'd that come from?" He asks.
"I don't know. Daily reassurances, I guess," I tell him.

"Awe." I hear a female voice say. Phil and I both look into the aisle and see one of the flight attendants watching us.
"You boys are cute," she says.
"Thanks," Phil and I say in unison.
"How long have you two been together?" She asks sweetly.
"Two years," I tell her.
"You guys must be soulmates or something. You're at such a young age and you guys have been together so long! Congratulations!" She says, walking off after.

I look over to Phil.
"I guess we are soulmates," I tell him.
"Dan Howell, don't do this to me right now. I'm going to cry," Phil tells me, pressing a soft and quick kiss on my lips.

"We are now leaving for the flight from London, England to Vancouver, Canada. The flight is approximately nine and a half hours. Please enjoy your flight," a flight attendant says from the front of a plane with a speaker.

The plane slowly starts gathering speed until I feel as if I'm being pushed into the back of my seat. The plane rises and we're in the air. This will be a long flight.

-halfway through flight-

Phil wakes up from his sleep and taps me on the shoulder.
"How much longer is the flight?" He asks.
"Just under five hours," I tell him.
"Okay," he stretches his arms and yawns. Adorable. "What are you watching?"
"I'm watching The Hunger Games," I answer.
"Can I join?" He asks.
"Of course," I say, pulling out one of my earbuds and handing it to him.
He cuddles as close as is possible in these seats and rests his head on my shoulder. I kiss the top of his head, leaving my lips there for a while. He looks up at me and smiles. I smile back. Perfect.

---

The plane shakes a little as it hits the ground. It slows to a stop and one of the flight attendants starts talking through the speaker again.
"I hope you enjoyed your flight. Please grab all luggage and leave the plane. Enjoy your stay in Canada!"

Phil and I grab our luggage then walk off the plane and into the airport, our families following close behind.

"I'm hungry!" Nick complains.
"We'll stop at a place to eat soon, son," Phil's dad says.
"Let's go get our other luggage," my mum says, leading us off to where our bigger suitcases are waiting.
"I'm going to go get the rental car. Wait outside the front of the airport and I'll come and pick you guys up," my dad says, then heading off to the sign showing where the car rentals are.

We all grab our extra luggage and walk outside, waiting for my dad and the car. The minute I walk outside I feel a blast of cold air hit me and I realize how cold it is here.
"It's even colder here than in London!" Charlotte speaks up.
"It is!" Phil agrees, shivering.
I wrap my arm around his waist in an attempt to warm him up a bit and he wraps an arm around my shoulder. My dad finally drives up with the car and the rest of us hop in.

"First stop before our two hour drive is food!" My dad annouces, exiting the airport parking lot.

This trip will be amazing. I can already tell.
